Bibibop Asian Grill is a chain of fast food restaurants. I recently had lunch at a newly opened Bibibop Asian Grill in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. The restaurant is located in the middle of a strip mall on the west side of SOM Center Road. SOM Center Road is a busy four lane road - two lanes southbound and two lanes northbound - with retail businesses on both sides of the road in this location known as SOM Center Plaza. There is a traffic light at Queens Park Avenue and SOM Center Road at the north end of the strip mall. There is free off-street parking for the strip mall.
The service is counter service, where you tell the counter person which ingredients you want as you move along the counter. All the various ingredients are located in front of you behind a glass or plexiglass screen/sneeze guard. The beverages and plastic utensils are self-serve. I enjoyed a bowl where I selected a base of white rice topped with various vegetables. I selected tofu as my protein. You can select from several sauces. My dish is good tasting.
The staff are pleasant and helpful with your questions. They create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for customers.
The restaurant is very clean with four booths and a counter for eating along the exterior glass wall and several hi-top communal tables - unless you have a large group. They, also, have a few regular height tables on the sidewalk for outdoor dining. No kneewall or fencing separates those diners from the pedestrian traffic walking by. This strip mall is pet friendly too. If you are dining outside, the smell could attract a passing dog's attention and interest.
There are two clean unisex bathrooms that are wheelchair accessible. No urinals. The bathrooms consist of a sink, a commode and a baby changing station. On the door there are two coat hooks - one at wheelchair height and one higher on the door.
Bibibop Asian Grill is a fast food chain with fresh ingredients where you select what you will eat, with a friendly staff, and a clean restaurant. My food tasted good. I will return again to sample other ingredients combinations and...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I came here at 8:15 last night along with a few other customers who walked in behind us. We were greeted with heavy sighs and rolling eyes from one employee. I am aware that they close at 9, and as a food service worker I fully understand trying to have a timely close in order to get home. However, I would never openly show customers my frustration and make them feel like a nuisance or an inconvenience ESPECIALLY 45 minutes before closing time. Even if it had been 10 minutes before 9 the customer should always come first. They were out of noodles, which was fine, they offered to make some more and we were willing to sit and wait. While waiting I noticed how rude and condescending this same employee was to the other who was going to make the noodles, assuming this was out of frustration for “how many people were in the store” (there was maybe 6), the look on that employees face really upset me. No one should be made to feel like that at their job. At my place of employment we “practice kindness,” and I think they should do...
Read more3/28/2025 Update: In response to the comment from the company left on my original review, we reached out as requested. The following was the reply we received to the new thread: "Thank you for reaching out to us! We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience with your food. That is not the type of service we strive for at BIBIBOP, so we will be sure to follow up with our team about this issue. In the meantime, we have added refund credits to your BIBIBOP rewards account for the incorrect bowls, which will be valid until March 27, 2026. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us. Thank you!"
Original Review: We received an incomplete order, missing all the toppings. Tried to call the shop directly and went straight to a voicemail box that was full. So then we reached out to the online support and the response was basically "Sorry, not sorry" (see photo of actual response received when asking for a refund - spoiler, we didn't...
