If I could give zero stars, I would. I visited the Urgent Care center with a sick infant on Sunday, August 20th. This was after being told at the UH Beachwood Minoff UC that it would be a 2 hour wait and that this UC only had 2 people in the queue and she would put us in line here. Upon arrival the receptionist told us that Beachwood did not send the regestration information over and they had nothing in their system re:the infant. Which was not quite true because we received a text message confirming the visit. She also advised that Beachwood had a habit of sheveling off their patients...not good for business! After registering here,we were told again that it would be a 2 hour wait due to them only having 1 medical provider and several people waiting to be and being seen. She asked what was wrong with the small patient. After being told his symptoms, she advised us to wait and she would talk to the doctor. She came back and immediately stated that they do not have the testing kits for atleast 3 or 4 different test and we should take him elsewhere to be seen. Asking if they would atleast examine him she again went to "talk" to the dr and came back and said No,the dr said she will NOT see him. We were very patient with her and asked why they wouldn't examine a sick infant and she stated because the doctor said no she wouldn't see him. She suggested that we could take him to another UC and suggested Twinsburg and another location. The distraugt Mom asked if they would be closing soon because this location closed at 5pm we were told. The rude receptionist stated they close at 8pm and only have two people in their queue . Once again, another bold face untruth! Upon arriving at Twinsburg UC the place was locked up tight...closed at 5! This was not the care or lack of,nor the treatment we expected from a medical facility or it's employees with the prestigious University Hospital name attached to it. This matter needs to be addressed immediately and employees sternly advised/retrained so that no one else has to endure this lack of medical mistreatment especially seeking...

My wife was extremely sick, so we went in on a Tuesday evening, hoping for basic medical care. Instead, we were met with immediate hostility from the front desk. The representative shoved forms at us, barely spoke, and when I said we were self-pay (due to hard times), she coldly stated, "That’ll be $205." No breakdown. No mention of hidden fees. Just a trap waiting to spring.
Once inside, the staff treated us like an inconvenience. Not a single person wore a mask (real professional for urgent care, right?). We explained my wife’s symptoms four times, only for the doctor’s assistant to return asking the same questions a fifth time. Do they not communicate? Or do they just not care?
Then came the bait-and-switch. They tested her for COVID (not strep of which we asked), and suddenly, the assistant magically appeared in a mask. Our hearts dropped—until she casually said it was just a "common cold." Relief turned to rage when we were hit with an additional $125 for tests that are free at clinics, pharmacies, and even some grocery stores!
UH Urgent Care thrives on deception. They lure you in with one price, then ambush you with hidden fees. They treat self-pay patients like second-class citizens, offering subpar care while nickel-and-diming you at every turn.
Moral of the story? Stay away. Drive further. Go to a free clinic. Do anything but subject yourself to this scam. UH Urgent Care doesn’t care about patients—they care about profit. And in this economy, none of us can afford their dishonesty and disrespect.
Especially coming from UH doctors who tell us "fend for...
Read moreWe made an appointment online to go to this urgent care. We showed up and waited multiple minutes for someone to come to the desk. We could hear people talking and laughing. Finally, we said , “Hello?” A woman came up and told me to fill out a paper. Another woman came out and sat down at the computer, turned to the first woman, who was partially out of my sight, and said, “I told you not to take anyone after 5:30.” That already felt hostile and unkind when I’m seeking medical care that I made an appointment for. Then the woman sitting down asked for my ID and insurance care. I pulled them out and reached them out to her. She ignored me, so I pulled my are back and said, “Here you go,” and handed her the cards.
She handed me a paper to sign. I signed it and went to hand it back to her and again was ignored. My mom said, “Excuse me, she’s giving you back the paper.” She said to my mom that the other woman was printing out an additional form for me to sign or fill out and that basically my mom needed to wait.
I decided to ask for my ID and insurance card back and to leave to find another urgent care, feeling as if I would not get proper care there after the treatment at the front desk. And there are cameras all over the waiting room, so the ladies working this evening couldn’t even deny that it happened.
I would highly recommend going to a different urgent care if at all possible before going...
