Majestic Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Mayfield

This is probably one of the worst experiences I’ve had eating out. Finally got seated even though they weren’t busy. Server (if you can call her that) came to the table with a half cocked attitude to get our drinks. She came back to get our order and we ordered a medium rare steak, pork chops with no onion or mushrooms a baked potato with only butter and that’s when she looked at me and said well they don’t put anything on them anyways and rolled her eyes. My husband asked what sides they had and she jerked the menu from him and said that they were plainly on the back if he would look. We got our order in and we waited for our food well over 20 minutes with nothing to drink. She brought our food and the pork chops were covered in onions, the steak was so burnt it looked like the turkey off Chevy Chases Christmas, my husband asked for a-1 and she said they were out he could just use country bobs. I got up and walked to the next table and grabbed the a-1 bottle in plain site. I told her about the steak not being right and the pork chops and she told me that she put it in the computer right it wasn’t her fault. We sent both plates back untouched and asked for our ticket. She brought our ticket with no apologies and charged us for the meals we sent back. I asked for the manager and told her what happened and the waitress interrupted saying she did everything right and it wasn’t her fault our food was not right and clinched her fist up and started crying. The manager asked if we had eaten anything and I told her all that was ate was the 4.99 salad we added to the steak. She said she would fix it and printed out a new ticket for 27.62 and said these things happen. I paid the ticket and left but will never return. All I can say is DO BETTER! Your service is terrible and management even worse if you let your servers...

The Majestic Restaurant is a gem located in Mayfield, Kentucky. Beginning at the awesome neon sign, that looks as though it could fit in in Vegas... And the homey feel when you walk through the door, this place has never failed to make me feel welcomed. This place has a power packed team. It starts with their great wait staff, who are all on the ball with bringing drinks promptly, and serving piping hot food as soon as the kitchen has finished with it. And the kitchen crew, who can be seen working diligently to put out quality dishes. It is apparent they are proud of what they do, because their attention to detail is not missed.

I have been to this restaurant many times lately, because I just can't stop coming for the Lasagna they serve. If you've ever read my other reviews you will see I have traveled across the country trying restaurants everywhere in between. So when I say that this place has the BEST Lasagna I've ever eaten it is a well earned title. I CANNOT stop driving from Paducah for it, and for good reason. It comes out with bubbly cheese, and is flavor packed with the proper seasonings to make you become a return guest like myself.

On this trip on I got the pleasure of meeting the owner Barbara. She was so friendly and down to earth. I was impressed with how she really cared about the operation from the back to the front of the house.

This restaurant gets the highest rating on the Rikki Recommends scale. If you've never been there, or you haven't been in awhile ... Do not pass go, do not collect $200. Get in your car and take a trip there. Your tastebuds...

This WAS a good place to eat at one time and a place I have literally been eating all of my life. Our last three trips in have been horrible experiences and we won’t go back. Food is not as good as it once was, bordering on just being bad, and the service has been horrible the last two trips in. I know restaurants are having staffing issues, but wow. Took 20 minutes of sitting at our table before anyone even asked us what we wanted to drink and they weren’t busy. My glass was empty when they brought out our food. My glass was still empty when I was done eating. They did bring back the salad bar though, and it was good, so they get 2 stars instead of 1. I think we are done with Majestic, and that is sad because as I said I have been eating there my entire life. I just cannot spend that much of my hard earned money for subpar food and...
