I came here yesterday because I saw that it was recommended on tiktok. We should have known from the getgo it wouldn't be a pleasant lunch when we had to wait about 10 to 15 minutes in the front to be seated. It looks amazing inside though. The ambient is elegant, dark and fancy so we had HIGH hopes, it's just that the food and service wasn't. Us and another party would be standing in the hallway where the workers could see us on the right side of the entrance, but we were ignored and had to wait a while just to be seated. The best thing hands down was the appetizer. I do have to complain about the size of my drink. I'm not sure why I got my drink in a super small cup, it's like a wine cup? Just for them to take a long time to refill. We werent ready to order yet so we just picked the appetizer. Once we got the appetizer, we waited a bit more to order for our main dish. They came after a few minutes that we had already finished our appetizer. Tell me why it took about 30-40 minutes to get our food after we ordered. The food was not even great. We got chicken tikka masala, garlic and butter naan, and lamb biryani. The chicken tikka masala was bland, the lamb in the biryani was so gamey I could not even eat it. The naan breads were too thin to the point they were crispy, maybe that's the signature way they do it idk but I've had amazing naan that was soft and just right. We should've gone to another place but it looked good on tiktok so we gave it a chance. We've had amazing food elsewhere, but this place was so disappointing. We spent about $70. We were there just under 2 hours basically waiting and I only got 1 refill for...
Read moreSo glad my husband found this place after viewing another foodies instagram review! Thank you #forkitvlog!! This is now our favorite Indian restaurant in the RGV!! We really enjoyed all the flavors but in all honesty we did add a pinch of salt to our main meals, but just a pinch. We ordered these amazing samosas which were so flavorful and the pastry was just superb, amazing flaky and just wow. Our go to meals are always butter chicken and chicken biryani with raita, medium spice. The flavors were all there and the quantity was more than we could eat. As mentioned, we did add a pinch of salt to the food, but it was still really yummy and the raita was so tasty. We also ordered one plain and one garlic naan which we tried not to devour as to not spoil our appetite. We managed to save just a tiny space in our stomach for dessert so we shared one order of gulab jamun which was also presented beautifully with gold specs and the milk was devine. We really love that they have a window so you can see the cooks in action and our son spent quite some time standing and looking what was being prepared. The whole restaurant was very clean, it did give me a bit of a disco party vibe as it’s very spacious with a tall ceiling and Big screen TV…. The staff is super friendly and as mentioned the food was best we’ve eaten in the RGV. Our server did mention that they have a buffet for lunch on Sundays, and we will definitely be visiting as it’ll give us the perfect opportunity to try...
Read moreThis was our first time here and we just googled it and came. The place looks a little like a casino from the outside, but inside it is very cozy and nice. It also looked very clean and the staff was very attentive. The food was really good! I had the Korma chicken and it was delicious! The rice was cooked to perfection too! My husband got the Butter chicken and we ordered a side of garlic naam. The bread was very yummy, but I do wish it had been more fluffy rather than crispy. The iced tea was very watered down, so I switched it to coke and that was better. The watermelon Mezcalita was not very good in my opinion as it was lacking flavor. Our waitress Miriam was very sweet and helpful as were other staff members. Overall I would come back and would recommend it. We went on Sunday at around 4:30pm and it was pretty empty. Ohh, also I did not personally go to the bathroom, but someone in our table said the woman’s restroom did not have hand soap. After hearing that. I decided to not go. I feel hand soap is essential and should never run out so. All in all,...
