100% Antojitos Mexicanos — Restaurant in McAllen

The lady took very long to attend us. She was busy taking orders through the phone, attending people who walked in to take their orders and charging, bagging orders for carryout orders, clearing tables, and serving to customers who were dining in. I only noticed 2 cooks in the back busy prepping the orders.. We placed our order after waiting for 10 minutes. The order of 2 customers who ordered after us, were served first. I told the lady about our order. She mentioned it should be out soon. After 25 min I told the cashier to cancel my order. She made a face of being somewhat frustrated. She said, Ya saliò la orden, quiere cancelar.? She asked for my receipt to check what I ordered and kept the receipt. We were very hungry so we accepted. The food was a bit cold. The customers who ordered after us mentioned that our food was sitting at the counter for quite a while. After that a lady who ordered carryout was extremely furious! She demanded why she had to wait 20 minutes for her carryout food? She demanded why were all orders just piled up sitting there?? That is ridiculous! My boyfriend's stomach churned with the entomatadas. I did enjoy the tasty espadas even though it was a bit cold. My boyfriend mentioned he will never go back to this location...not even if he is dying...

This would have been 5 stars if they would even listen to how you want your items prepares. Each time I have come to eat and now carried out they have a hard time listening to how I want my grilled onions prepared and now the simplist of things of "please very little cheese on baked potato. The food here is great but when you ask to change something wither the cashier is not explaining to the cooks or the cooks dont care and prepare how they know how. My potato had aa freaking mountain of cheese. Its the little things that piss people off especially when it feels like they do things on purpose. Sorry but this could have been a great review. Been coming here for years, all of their locations have good quality food and fresh made. My favorite is the sopes, they have beef desebrada or chicken, fried beans, lettuce, tomato and Queso fresco. Has a side of fried potatoes and mini salad (lettuce and tomato). Some of the plates also included aguacate / guacamole. Once you order and pay your food, they take a cup of beans to your table (1 per person), they have green and red salsa, both are really good, and crema Mexican.
