I wanted to surprise my husband on Father's day by going to the restaurant to order to go. I had my 4 year old and 6 month old (well-behaved)in the double stroller inside to ask for a menu and assistance. Instead of sitting inside at a table to order, they told me it's a walking hallway (I don't know exactly what that meant, but I wasn't in the way from the entrance, plus I was sitting at a table with the stroller along my side). Did I mention, there was no wait line, noone else was dining in... there's room inside, not even packed. So, I don't understand why they didn't allow me to order inside and wait inside with my two kiddos. Basically pushing me out, by not allowing me to sit there to order to-go. I went ahead to sit outside, then eventually a waiter came out to take my order. FYI, I used to work in the food industry. I am well aware of proper food service/ correct server protocol/ customer service/ how to interact with guests etc. In other words, welcome the customer and ask if they would like to see the menu, where would you like to sit, offering a glass of water while waiting, interact with the guest and suggest what's good to eat or announce what is today's special. I got none of that, I had to request for a menu and I didn't know they had a father's day special. I found out after I already ordered. Honestly, it probably would have been better than what I ordered. 30 minutes later (not been asked if I would like a beverage or if I would like to order an appetizer while waiting. I would have, while waiting, since it was my first time being there). I literally had high expectations, because it was a 4.5-5 star reviews from Google. Long story short, I came home with the to go bags. Guess what, when my husband opened the boxes... there was literally nothing... even my my oldest kid asked if I ate whatever was inside the boxes. No. It's not for me I stated. Barely any fries, we even compared the fish strips to a coin and took photos to explain to the manager. Because when we called the manager, they showed no interest to assist us. The manager, named John didn't even report it the next day to the day shift manager. John specifically requested photos of the meal, explaining they would need to talk to the chefs, review the cameras/video evidence... the run around. No help at all. We called the next following day and we were told the same thing from the day shift manager. I regret coming to this place and nothing has been resolved. Go to your local seafood restaurants. It would have been the...
Read moreUpdate responding to the restaurant: Using ChatGPT is not going to make your response any better. Anyway, what is clear is that I was right about how unprofessional you are. Having the audacity to even respond with a negative attitude is disgusting. You DO NOT HAVE A PROPER WAITING AREA, the entire back full of tables was empty. You could’ve let us wait in there. The manager was sitting at the front table and claimed the people with her were customers — another lie. Honestly the two tables in the front seems like it can serve as waiting area. Clearly you don’t care about your customers, which is even more disappointing. To be clear, we were not rude to the waiter. In fact, he never explained why we couldn’t wait in that area. Our baby wasn’t even in a stroller; my husband was holding him in his arms. So don’t try to put this on us. Little advice, try some costumer service training for your management employees. By the way you are responding, it seems you don’t want your business to grow. Instead of fighting with the reviewers, you should thank them for pointing out what you can fix and make it better. You can start with a comfortable WAITING AREA.
1st review: We arrived and we were told to wait outside when clearly there were only 2 tables occupied at the entrance. We thought it was a confusion and the waiter came back to tell us again the same thing, I asked why and he just left to call the manager who with a horrible attitude instructed us to wait outside, I stepped in since my husband was already upset and the lady rudely said she has customers. They couldn’t just get us in a table in the back while they got the high chair for our baby. We’ve never been treated like this before at this restaurant. The manager surely needs to find another job. And please don’t answer with any explanation to excuse yourself it looks more unprofessional. Customers...
Read moreA group of us went for our sister's 70th Birthday! Loved the atmosphere and the 4th of July decorations!
The food was awesome! No complaints! The drinks were good as well. We actually knew they used alcohol.
Price is probably reasonable. Enough options so everyone can splurge once in awhile.
Service was good, but we did feel rushed to order and to finish.
The downer to the experience is that there were no menus! You have to use your phone to order or the house phone to order. We could not figure it out and it didn't work on all of our phones, so had to use house phone. If you engaged in conversation or debated which items to order, the app went down and the wait person had to keep coming back to log us in. (Probably why she was rushing us) seniors go out to eat for the experience...not to use apps and phones at the table. We discourage this behavior at home and when going out, we want to visit and compare food items.
Then the bill came. Again, it was done electronically at the table so again, the wait person lingers while each couple pays their bill. This interferes with conversation again. Then you are almost required to pay a minimum of 15% since to put in your own amount is another lesson in electronics. 15% tip for a restaurant that has no dishes, except for drink glasses, a paper table cloth to roll up the mess, no menus to give out, clean up or put away, is excessive with the prices already charged for the meal.
For the lack of menus and the electronic payment with predetermined tips, will keep us...
