6•5•25 came by for a quick early dinner but that is exactly what I got served to quick meaning first time I was a but dissapointed reason is we both ordered the same item and it was rushed and a bit sloppy so assuming you make enough for 2 angel hair bianco and as far as veggies and chicken all ingredients were very shysty I only got maybe 2 small pieces of broccoli and few olives what I did get is whole bunch of Olive Oil that is was so greasy I guess I got the end of the pan all poured on my plate. I wasn't happy abt it muchless the taste it was not there the side bread was soaked in the oil too that I didn't even eat it. Tho my husband's plate was not that oily yet less ingredients in the plate. This is one of my go to but this time I have no clue what happened and was angry and yet my waitress never came and cked on us yet concentrated on the bigger table a party of 7 meanwhile we a party of 2. Yeah probably hustling for $$ its understandable if you don't want to wait on party of 2 then change with someone my fault was choosing this side of the restaurant to eat at I should have gone to opposite side the original side. Service is a bit better on that side. Idk just hated my plate and knowing I appraise this restaurant often I got the short end of the stick. The picture don't give it justice but you can see all the oil on my plate and left the bread because it was soaked. So messed up I hated it. I also ordered the cream Italian sodas hard pass never again too much of club soda no flavoring just mineral water with whip cream far from an Italian soda you need to put more flavoring or just don't sell these what the heck? Waist of money on that to. Overall the experience this time was a huge FLOP! Pictures to show you my proof.
5•10•25 it's been a long while from our last visit and as usual very good service and very well portioned on servings and for what they charge. As always love this and recomend this place either casual side or dressy side on opposite side of building but personally I love the front main entrance framing the street. My stramboli was so good I couldn't finish it took it home. The pollo de carlito is always a hit. And we got the spinach artichoke dip that was very yummy. Try it you will like it. Thank you staff and mama mia crew always on Par. Been coming here for quite some time and its the same I leave very full and happy. Keep up the good work guys
12•14•24 we stopped by to have my fav Pasta dish angel Hair bianco w/chicken and man was it so very good. Always on par with this dish. I love it thx mama mia staff waiter was super friendly but then again the staff is always friendly and hospitable here. I highly recomend it. Bit pricey but you will get your $$ worth serving is always nice and well proportioned. The entree was delish i had never tried it an it is very good the meatballs with mariners ans cheese and bread. Very good.
8•30•24 Came in tried the chicken Alfredo was delish, the chicken picante was amazing the Tiramisu is okay, reason. It is a bit to over empowered with cinnamon a bit to much cant taste the coffee flav it should have was a bit dried not moist as it should been but it was alright. But Pastas are always Great.
Came here on my birthday on the 2nd of March on a Saturday, and it was fantastic. My waiter was awesome and recommended me how to prep my calamari it was so good that he added a bit of spice, but the just right kind, i will order this again. As for our main course, always a hit Angel hair Bianco, and Pollo de Carlito always on par trust me the portion looks deceiving but you will get full its very well portioned i always leave stuffed lol and food is super delish highly recommend those dishes. I have no regrets.Always love coming here to this Mama Mia restaurant. Food is always consistent, and if it keeps me like that, I'll continue to come and eat here. I really recommend that this place beats other common pizza restaurants. You won't regret the food here. I just updated recent food dishes. And a most recent pic of their Menu without glare to...
Read moreBefore I say anything, let it be known: the tomato soup is a lie. I was eager to try this place's tomato soup and honestly, I'd have preferred if they served me a modified Campbell's soup. What I got was quite literally watered-down pizza sauce. Think I'm being dramatic? Order the $3 bowl next time you visit and see for yourself. It has the exact same chunky texture as the pizza sauce (minced garlic, spices, some tomato pieces) and you'd swear all you're missing is some breadsticks to dip them into this "soup". I had high hopes for the tomato soup and was heartbroken when I tasted it. Shame on you guys for serving this watery pizza sauce as tomato soup.
With that said, the pizza was impressive. We ordered a large Carnivore with extra sauce and was pleasantly surprised when I noticed the pizza had plenty of toppings and they had actually added extra sauce. Many places fail to add the extra sauce I request. It was served to us piping hot, with beautiful cheese strands forming as we lifted our slices off the sheet. I'm not quite sure why the pizza was cut up into squares as opposed to standard pizza slices, but in the end it didn't really matter although I'd have preferred standard slices. The crust was interesting - it looked and felt dense but when you took a bite, it broke down quite easily. Not the best pizza dough I've had, but that odd combination of density and lightness kept me intrigued. The edge had a light toast to it, although I wouldn't have hated them if they'd have left it in the oven for 30 additional seconds.
My son ordered the Linguini Shrimp Scampi. My son stated, and I quote, "Yours is way better." I asked for a taste and not to toot my own horn, but he wasn't wrong. The description states that it's made with a white wine reduction but all I tasted was olive oil and maybe a hint of garlic. It wasn't until my son squeezed the lemon over the pasta that it gained a tiny bit of depth. I saw maybe two or three tiny pieces of parsley in the pasta. All in all, it was a very sub-par pasta dish.
Overall, if you're seeking a good pizza that's made fresh with plenty of ingredients, this place is worth a visit. I've heard their lasagna is also delicious, so we might be back a second time...
Read moreOverall it was a subpar and disappointing visit. I will say that the quality of the food has gone down over the years. The pricing on the menu isn't too much of a problem as you're usually getting what you're paying for. Unfortunately this time my experience was lack luster and fell short of the true Italian experience that Mama Mia Pizzeria can offer, not only was the service questionable but the waitress had forgotten about our table on several occasions, I could count on one hand how many times she checked up on our party throughout the night. She was sweet but overall did not provide good service. The service I can forgive if the food was decent but My Gyro was not only a total of 20.94 with the side of onion rings and coke included but was quite literally thrown on the plate and was made with Such disregard for the dish that some of the onions were not even in the gyro to begin with. My Gyro was practically falling apart once I received it. The gyro itself was ok but the seasoning was bland and added nothing to the dish, don't even get me started on the ruinous atrocity that was the onion rings, the batter was inconsistent and the onion rings themselves were bland, it was either the onion ring was 10% onion and 100% batter or the onion ring was 100% onion and 10% batter. The pockets of oil in the rings did not make it better either, it felt like I was eating what was the culmination of Mama Mias grease fryer served onto my plate, grease that was nurtured for generation upon generations of leftover grease that was not thrown out. The Pizza slice my friend shared with me was subpar and the best part about it was the crust. These standards are unacceptable for the ludicrous price that i had paid, at that point I could get myself a Di Giornos pizza and an Arby's Gyro for less than the price I payed and I bet it would taste better than what I had that night. I hope to never be attending this place again. I will go to that place on 10th Street instead, sure they might be racist but damn they have good pizza and way better meals and options than what this place...
