Tim's Bakery — Restaurant in McCordsville

My partner and I are donut afficionados. In the quest to find the best donuts in the North Indy/Fishers area, we visited every donut place within a 15-mile radius and created a grading system based on texture, taste, balance (not overly sweet, filling-to-cake ratio) freshness and flavors.

Through this process, we ate A LOT of donuts. Unfortunately too many inadequate ones but the best ones more than made up for the inferior ones. Tim's Donuts was hailed our overall winner and I'll tell you why.

Their yeast donuts are melt-in-your mouth delicious. So tender, perfectly sweet and the dough is tasty on it's own and a perfect platform for other flavors (if you opt for filled varieties). Their fillings are all bright, fresh and taste natural to showcase the fruit or custard used.

Their cake donuts have a perfect crumb and are light, not too sweet and absolutely delicious. The vanilla are our favorite along with the cinnamon sugar.

Tim's is a bit of a drive for us, but their quality keeps bringing us back. They're worth it. Just get there early because they usually run out of favorites if you wait. It's not unusual to see a line out the door. They close by...

Have to Say Tim's is by far the best Bakery in the state of Indiana. Been going here since I was a little kid. Their Donuts are always made fresh, You can even see them make them when yo walk in. Your always greeted with a smile and the smell of the shop just warms you up and makes you happy.

Nothing beats their fresh donuts. I love the yeast twists the best. They also have amazing cake donuts. They even have delicious muffins as well. One time they even had coffee cake, though Its not a regular item and only made on certain days. Their donuts when you get them always have a fresh crunch to them on the underside.

I can only really give them a couple bads which is I wish they were open a little longer, I believe they stop making fresh donuts around 10, which sucks sometimes. Then the shop being a little crowded due to its size.
