Title: Outstanding Service and Authentic Flavors at Mesquite Mexican Restaurant, Lake Dow
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mesquite Mexican restaurant, formerly known as Padres, located at Lake Dow. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a vibrant ambiance that set the tone for an exceptional dining experience.
As I perused the reviews for Mesquite, I stumbled upon a disheartening account from a patron, which I believe to be falsely written. The review in question detailed an unfortunate encounter with a server and a manager named Erica. As an advocate for fairness and accuracy, I feel compelled to address this misrepresentation. Having frequented this establishment for many years, I can confidently attest to Erica's unwavering commitment to providing top-notch service. Her dedication to her craft and the restaurant is evident, as she has been an integral part of the team since the doors first opened over a decade ago.
The culinary journey at Mesquite Mexican restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary. The menu boasted an array of authentic Mexican dishes, each expertly crafted with fresh, flavorful ingredients. From the sizzling fajitas to the zesty enchiladas, every dish exuded the unmistakable essence of true Mexican cuisine. The attention to detail and the artistry in the presentation were truly commendable, elevating the dining experience to new heights.
The service I received at Mesquite was impeccable, thanks in no small part to Erica's leadership and the dedication of the entire staff. Every aspect of the meal was thoughtfully attended to, and the genuine warmth and attentiveness of the servers enhanced an already delightful evening.
In light of the aforementioned review, I feel compelled to set the record straight. The portrayal of the service and management at Mesquite Mexican restaurant, particularly with regards to Erica, is unequivocally inaccurate. My own experiences, as well as those of countless other patrons, reflect a starkly contrasting reality—one characterized by excellence, professionalism, and genuine care.
In conclusion, Mesquite Mexican restaurant at Lake Dow is a shining gem that has consistently delivered exceptional dining experiences. The dedication of the staff, the authenticity of the cuisine, and the inviting atmosphere make it a standout destination for anyone seeking an unforgettable culinary journey. I wholeheartedly encourage all lovers of Mexican cuisine to visit Mesquite and experience firsthand the remarkable hospitality and flavors that this establishment has to offer.
Five stars simply do not suffice to capture the excellence of Mesquite Mexican restaurant, and I eagerly anticipate my next visit to savor the unparalleled delights that await.

Read moreI was looking for a good Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood. I thought I found one outside looking in but I didn't. The customer service sucks. They are all watching the soccer game. Nobody greeted me. I was sitting at the bar for 3minutes with someone cleaning behind the bar still No one said anything. Everyone is huddled at the tv. Finally get a server & he said the reason the other guy didn't speak was because he didn't speak English. I replied I speak Spanish. I was going to leave starving but I thought I may faint because I had just left the pool. I order the special, 2 enchiladas & rice & before I could get my food the runner stopped at the tv to see what was going on. When he noticed me watching he brought my plate which was just ok but how can you mess up enchiladas? I decided to order a drink cause I'm heated. My server asked sugar or salt for my margarita. I said sugar but you know what I got because he's watching the soccer game...salt. He made it over but I'm over it & won't be back. I did tell him again that I wasn't pleased & he understood why & apologized. He said they waited all year for the game & their team loss. I explained to him that I left him 20 percent because I'm in the industry not for the service....
Read moreSooo... first, let me say that I understand that not all cooks are the same, so I get that the same food item will taste differently from different restaurants. I can honestly say that the food from this restaurant is consistently bland. No flavor, just bland. The to-go presentation was good, well, the lettuce was a little wilted and dark in places-but it was late and we were hungry. I mixed everything together. The texture of the rice was good, no flavor. The chimichanga was wrapped in a tortilla, not grilled in any way, so it was mushy and difficult to cut. The chicken was red with the promise of flavor, BUT IT WAS LIES!! LIES I TELL YOU!!!😒 I tried to season it, but alas... Next was the price, which was okay for food nowadays. But they also charge A TOGO FEE🫥😶 mind you, no one said anything about a To go fee. 😡 It wasn't listed on the site either. So, my daughter paid $29.05 for promises and lies. So sad. If you want consistently good Mexican food, check my other reviews and stay away from this place unless you like bland food, as I know some of us humans do - then, I highly...
