I have always been a fan of Chick-fil-A. And sti will be. I went through the dive-thru yesterday( keep in mind I’m recovering from major surgery)and my granddaughter order her usual no 1 meal, chicken sandwich with fries and$ lemonade and a cookie, I ordered a large soup and a wrap. When we got home, Chick-fil-A FORGOT to put her chicken sandwich in the bag. So because my granddaughter did not have her sandwich, I had to give her half of my wrap, because she wanted to eat a full meal before going work that evening. I call and spoke with a manager, by the name of Suess, I’m not sure how to spell his name. He seem to be a customer friendly manager.I told him the story, he apologized, stated he is always there and will make it right when I come back, So today, I call to Chick-fil-A to speak to the manager Suess, he was not there today, so I spoke to assistant manager Cody. Advise him of the situation and he stated to place the order and come through the drive thru and tell employee to call for Cody to come out to the drive thru. Well everything went left fast. Because I advised that my granddaughter whole meal should replace and the wrap which had to give her half, because they messed up her meal. Cody tells me he spoke with someone higher up and said I can only get my granddaughter meal, so since I had to give up my meal, they were not replacing my wrap. Then Cody start questioning me, as if I’m trying to get free food! I had my receipt from the bag, and could show thru my bank app where I had just paid $25.44 on yesterday. I felt like I was being stereotyped. I am VERY offended. Because being two weeks into recovery of major surgery and have to deal with unprofessionalism, is NOT acceptable. It was embarrassing , while in the drive thru line arguing about food I paid for and didn’t get. I can buy any thing I want. CUSTOMER SERVICE is everything to a customer. I’m retired and was an Escalation Manager and District Manager for over 20 plus yrs. When a customer comes to your establishment, they are not only spending money, but they are looking for an EXPERIENCE. When a company drops the ball, your customer should not feel victimized, because of a request to make the situation right. Drive through on the fourth at 5:35 PM. And was floored by the customer service. I received I had gave the young lady a gift card that was given to me by one of the owners of one of the stores for a free sandwich outside of that. I had ordered a large fry in a 5 count. Nugget, with my total coming up to $13 in the sandwich. Supposed to be free. I had to ask her about it. She informs me again. I took it off. As I go to the front part of the drive through, I check my app to see what I was charged for in the history.I brought it up to the gentleman's attention and asked to speak to managers.So they can make it right.The manager came to my car, informed her the situation.And she asked me of all things, did you give her the gift card?And I suggest she put it in her pocket.After them leaving me still sitting there, they had already gave me the food order.The manager came back up and said I'm sorry to say you can only use this. At 1 of the other stores I informed her. I wish that the young lady would have told me that cuz I would have ordered my food in a different way. And why would she have taken it? And told me she took it off of my order. She then asked me if I would like for her to. Remove just that part of the sandwich off of it. And I stated, just that would be fine, and try to still give her the card back. She said, no, you can keep the card. It's okay, then she goes back to the window to talk to her co-workers. They told her they didn't have my order. I informed her again. I already have the food order. She then says, well, okay, ma'am, I'll need you to give me that sandwich. I was floored by this. Read moreordered ice cream for my children as a treat before we went to the park. I placed two separate orders. I also ordered a meal for myself. I gave cash this time when I generally use my app. When I got to the “stop here.” It took a while for them to even acknowledge me. Cars just kept driving by. The three ladies sat there and said nothing while chit chatting with each other. I then rolled down my passenger window to politely ask if I was in the correct spot. The lady said yes,”we will be right with you.” She then came to my passenger window and gave me my total. I already had exact change in my hand. I was thinking she’d come over to the driver side to accept the money. She did not. I had to put my car in park and take off my seatbelt to hand her money through my passenger side. I’m 5’4 with very small arms so this was a big deal to me. I didn’t order though my passenger side. She then handed me the receipt again on my passenger side so I had to once again take off my seatbelt. After I finally made it to the window I waited 12 minutes for the ice cream because they couldn’t find the ticket. Luckily I had that receipt. The girl at the window was asking why the receipt said 14 minutes ago and I explained that I’d been waiting that long for them. She looked confused. Cars are still going around me by the way. Everyone acknowledged that I’d been waiting for a while at the window amongst themselves but not once did they say anything to me about the long wait. I counted 6 meals were delivered to cars behind me before I finally received ice cream. No apology or anything. We are new to the area and hoping that there is another CFA in the area because we probably won’t be back to this one. Service is no where near what we are use to.
