I don't know how I've never been here. I've lived around the corner from them for 4 years, and I just found my new breakfast spot.
Any new place I go to I order the chicken (country) fried steak. It's my favorite thing to eat and if they can make THAT good, then I know they can handle just about anything.
-Food-
Country fried steak: Wasn't too impressed by their gravy at first, I took a piece of meat off the top and it wasn't as flavorful as I usually like. So I peppered it up to get some more spice. Then I took a bite of the actual steak with the gravy and that's where all the flavor and spice was. It blended in perfectly (little too much now that I peppered the gravy lol). The breading was really good, crispy but not burned, the steak was cooked but very moist. The size? My god, it took up a plate on it's own. The size of my leftover, was the size I usually get when I order it elsewhere. So yay! LEFTOVERS!
Pancakes: I mean if you can't make pancakes, you really should evaluate your kitchen staff. I love Green Lantern but their pancakes are just too large and suck. This place, just perfect size, thickness, fluffy but firm. Great taste, just how pancakes should be.
Hashbrowns: They were OK, I always order them crispy because no one seems to get the concept they're called hash BROWNS, not hash still look raw potato strings. I ordered them crispy and they still came out looking raw, maybe I didn't say the crispy part loud enough? Doesn't matter, still going back. I'll just word it differently next time. Tell em I like em crunchy haha.
Price? Cheap as dirt. I've been to a lot of places and something like this usually runs about 11-12 bucks. was 9 bucks here and I got almost double the amount of food. Quantity over Quality? Quality over Quantity? Nah, they give you BOTH.
Staff was really nice and smiley and they seemed to have a nice playful attitude towards each other which just increases the overall feel of the place. Watching them joke around with each other as they passed by put a smile on my face. They enjoy being there. It was nice to see.
Decor? who cares. The food was freakin good.
I honestly don't know what it is about people from Albania, but for whatever reason, they know how to cook some really damn good...
Read moreIf you're looking for a waitressing job I do not recommend this one. I told Linda I was pregnant and maybe two days later she told me someone complained about me not shaking up some French dressing. Then the next scheduling week they cut my hours to 3 days a week and two of those days were four hour shifts (sounds like discrimination. Like they don't think I can handle the 6 days a week all of a sudden now that they know I'm pregnant). Then one day I asked to go to the hospital because I was having terrible sharp pains in my side. Linda at first told me to just eat crackers and drink Sierra mist and everything would be fine 😂😂 then she agreed to let me go after telling me her business was more important than me figuring out if my baby was okay. Well on my way to my car Luke came running out the back door to fire me. Yeah they fired me for going to the hospital while being pregnant. I've contacted the department of workforce development and am in the process of making sure I get justice for them illegally firing me....
Read moreIf I could give this place a zero star I absolutely would. I literally just came in to pay for an order I placed over the phone with someone who seemed pleasant. When I walked in immediately I didn’t feel welcomed. I stood in the front for a couple minutes with workers just looking at me from afar without saying a word. I proceeded to walk to back towards the bakery area and the kitchen where I seen a few staff members working and was still ignored. They literally saw me and pretended I wasn’t standing there. A worker sat down a bag that I am assuming was mine without a smile or saying a word to me. Not only was it uncomfortable it was embarrassing to be treated this way in front of everyone that was there. How very rude! Disgusting behavior. I will never come here again. There were about three tables of people sitting and chatting that clearly felt welcomed. I will take my money elsewhere and tell everyone one I know about this...
