I’m both a customer at this location and a frequent visitor as a doordasher. I give 4 stars to the daytime staff (lunch through early dinner time), less than 1 star to the late dinner/midnight snack staff. A drive-thru line out to the road at night (after 9pm) takes, on average, 30 minutes to clear and the food is already cold whether it’s my personal order or a DoorDash order I’m picking up. The line would take a lot longer if so many customers didn’t turn around and leave before getting to the section where one becomes unable to exit the line even in case of emergency. It seems as though many of the menu offerings at night must be made well in advance of being ordered and not even kept under heat lamps, yet the staff still gets orders out very slowly, probably something to do with the number of times I’ve seen them standing around texting or joking with their coworkers instead of talking to customers waiting for their attention or making food. working quite a few times. I see no problem with joking around as long as you’re doing your job, but if you can’t laugh and work at the same time, shut up and work! Consistent with my ordering experience, customers often text me while I’m waiting for the order to ask that I make sure they get the sauce, straws, and utensils that are part of their order AND as a DoorDash driver, this is the only place I regularly receive texts from customers asking what they can do about missing food (this is almost exclusive to the night shift). I, and other members of my family have frequent problems with cold food and occasional problems with missing food. This is the only Taco Bell out of all the ones DoorDash sends me to in an area stretching from McHenry to Gurnee, up to Antioch and down to Wauconda that I regularly have...

Burrito half wrapped, ground beef undercooked or not kept at proper temperature, crave box ripped with poorly wrapped contents, chalupa half wrapped with contents spilled inside the bag, quesadilla not cut properly. ..not a busy drive thru! No wonder the 3.4 star rating..Get your act together.. Manager on duty, Carmen.
6 MONTH UPDATE: tried my best at staying away, but let's face it...sometimes you feel like a quick quesadilla or chalupa. Same DANG problem! Only car in line at about 2:30 pm. Ordered a steak quesadilla, chicken chalupa and packets of diablo sauce. AGAIN! half assed wrapping, chalupa filling all over the bag. No sauces...no napkins..same manager on duty. I received notice so I'm sure they did at Taco Bell as well, but some nerd decided to cook my food and then let it sit in a bag on a counter for 28 minutes. So I ended up with a Mexican pizza The consistency of oatmeal mush, soggy tacos and the entire order was ice cold! BOOOOOOO on all accounts. I even sent a text to the Uber driver and asked him to make sure that everything was fresh CONSIDERING THE ABOVE which apparently he didn't have time to do worst 24 $ I ever spent. IF YOU'RE GOING TO BE A MULTITASKING UBER DRIVER AT LEAST BE CONSCIOUS ENOUGH TO MAKE SURE THE FOOD YOU'RE DELIVERING IS STILL HOT. For this I got the whopping $6 refund from Uber....
