While the food was good and the service was fair,, the bill was a shock. Included in the bill was a 20% gratuity and a "fee". Apparently, this restaurant punishes customers for using a credit card. The "fee" is a charge for paying for your food with a credit card.. We were not told this in advance and there is no sign inside or outside the restaurant. I think it would be better to include the fee in the prices and give the customer a "discount" for using cash. And I always thought that the amount of the gratuity was left to the customer. Never had a bill that looked like the one I got at this restaurant. Our bill for 2 adults was $51. Ordered nothing special. My order did not have meat, chicken or fish. Did not have a cocktail, appetizer or coffee. And we shared a desert. It's not the amount of the bill, but the fact that a 20% gratuity and a "fee" was included in the bill. What made it worse was the taste of the old fryer oil: inedible. Then the frozen bagged shrimp; one was battered, one was a tiny shrimp peeled and deveined. The third variety was unpeeled. It just didnt make sense and it wasnt good, finally, if youâre going to serve in a molcajete the molcajete needs to be the cooking vessel not just a bowl to transfer the food into. The whole thing was uninspired. I suppose if you donât know better, you can accept this. But I was looking for an authentic experience. This was a long shot from that. My wife is Mexican. Iâm white. And even I...
