Wingstop — Restaurant in McHenry

I very much like Wingstop. And I’ve had okay service with them in the past. But I went in on Wednesday, August 28th. I placed an online order for pickup at 7:15. I go in exactly at that time, tell them my name and the two possible things it could be under, Steve/Stephen R. The guy says okay, looks at the stack of to go orders ready, and then the list of to go orders they need to finish, and says 5 minutes. I get that, stuff happens. No worries. 10 minutes go by and I think my order is done. Once again, whatever, I get it. But it’s clearly not my order. It’s a DoorDash for Steven. Another 5-10 minutes go by and I mean, I’m frustrated. I’m about to go up and ask for a refund or something, when he brings two to go orders and I tell him neither are mine. A coworker of the guy looks at the stack of to go orders, and mine is there. It’s been 15 minutes. By the time I get my food, the fries are soggy and warm, not hot. Luckily the chicken was okay. But instead of apologizing, which I would have been fine with, or even better, trying to make it right (like a fresh order of fries and we would’ve been golden), he ignores me. I go get my drink, still nothing, and leave. I get the restaurant industry is tough, but just some common courtesy and a apology at the time and I wouldn’t have left with a bad...

First off, I LOVE WingStop. This location seems off to me, though. 1st time here I had tiny bone in wings. Second time, it was a mixture of the typical size for Wingstop mixed with a few smalls ones. This is the third and last time I will spend money at this Wingstop. Every single one of them. Pathetic honestly. I ordered hot honey wings that barely had a taste to them other than grease. It’s a shame. I was stoked about this location being so close to home.

Who ever is over this franchise should go find out what the owners are purchasing for home in wings, because it sure seems to be that are trying to save a buck. Even when it comes to the wings sauces. 🤷🏻‍♀️

The classic wings were small but perfectly fried and seasoned and quite delicious. The wings averaged around 2" in length, less than expected, but the crispness and flavor were on point. The size of the tenders was up to expectations and they were also delicious. Perfect French fries are a personal preference. These had good seasoning but a soggy texture. I prefer mine crispy. I took them home and refried them and they were delicious. The crew was friendly and the service good, considering the wings are made-to-order. Quite a climb from the very limited parking lot to the restaurant. The floor had a sticky spilled drink. In one restroom the urinal didn't flush, and in the other the hand dryer did not function. The restaurant was surprisingly busy with the majority of the business being takeout. Only two tables were occupied, good when you consider there were only 3 parking spots available when...
