Teame Boba — Restaurant in McHenry

For a place that literally seemed to start and open out of nowhere, it is a nice addition to mchenry. The ease of ordering, either with the machine at the front or in person at the counter and the speed at which the drinks are prepared, is amazing. There is a good selection of flavors you can pick, and when it comes to the fruit teas, there are (while somewhat small) good choices of tea, which gives you even more choices. Pair that with the amount of add ons that you can put in your drink, make it that if you wanted something different every time you went, you could. The drinks are also served in biodegradable cups, which makes it all the better. All in all, while I probably wouldn't go every day due to the cost (which is about the price of Starbucks coffee), I truly enjoyed my visit and will stop by again. Update: (4/28/23) I have now had a good variety of the drinks, and while some were not my favorite, they were still good. This past early May marked the very first time trying the bubble tea here and the boba is definitely a hit here.

We live pretty far northeast in Lake County but at the time we just came from the Tulip Fest in Spring Grove so I mentioned to my wife that I'd take her and our boys on a brief tour of McHenry County.

Been out this way a few times in the past when I lived in Round Lake from May '89-Nov '02 long before I was married but since living in Beach Park, rarely make it out this way.

After eating dinner, naturally my older son who's now 9 always asks what we're having for dessert and his first choice is always bubble tea. Introduced him to bubble tea shortly before his 3rd b-day and he fell in love with Taro which is the only flavor he drinks.

Bubble tea is a growing trend especially in large metro areas and Teame is a shining example of great quality boba. If ever in the area again, this will be our go-to spot for bubble tea and hope for continued success and prosperity for...

I’ve ordered here many times. It’s the only real milk tea place in McHenry. I am a milk tea enthusiast. I order Thai milk tea all the time and it is overly sweet and they said the sugar level can’t be adjusted . That’s very disappointing because every other place I go to is able to adjust sugar levels. The Teri milk tea , milk cloud is good and there fruit drinks are ok. Overall for me it’s just an average milk tea place. You can certainly find better milk tea places in other towns.
