Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii — Restaurant in McKinney

Had a chance to visit the McKinney location yesterday. I must say that I absolutely love the vibe of this place. I've been trying to go for the last several weeks finally got a chance to go. I ordered matcha for my son, and two other iced coffee drinks. I honestly forgot the names of the ones that we got but they were absolutely delicious. The coffee was a little strong but in a good way. Considering the fact that it's Hawaiian coffee, I definitely expected this. I honestly Love strong coffee, as long as I can get a balance of the coffee and the other flavor. I most definitely did! The atmosphere was great and the employees were very friendly. I love the gear, like the t-shirts and coffee cups that you can actually purchase. They also have coffee that you can buy to brew at home. The name itself definitely matches this place. Their donuts and scones are absolutely fabulous. These are some of the best donuts that I have had in a long time. The texture and taste beats most of the donut shops that I've gone to. I'm a foodie and I do reviews all the time even on my social media....

Terrible experience... When I had ordered my drink, I added a bunch of flavors and creamer to sweeten my coffee. When I got it, it was pretty bold so I was going to ask if I could add more cream or flavor or something, just to sweeten it up a bit. I stood in front of the counter, mind you there may have been 3-4 employees working at the time, all of whom made eye contact with me. Not a single one asked how they could serve me or even bothered to regard my existence at the end of their counter. I saw that they were a little busy, so I politely waited... After about 15 minutes of waiting and watching the associates lean against the wall, chit chatting with each other, as I continued to lean against the counter with my poorly made drink in my hand, while awaiting a confirming glance that I would be taken care of shortly... No... Nothing... My patience had completely worn out... I was about ready to dump my drink on the counter and tell all of those lovely ladies to have a great day... Instead... I wasted 10-12 on a terrible drink just to fill the...

This is some of the best coffee Ive had from any establishment in a long while. In particular I used to always get the iced coffee and the twisted donuts. The service is also great, extremely nice employees and no hassle. However I do have one slight major issue. Im not sure who it is, a manager, store lead, somebody at this particular location, Id like to kindly ask, dont yell and curse out your employees in the store. Ive been here a good amount of times to notice that whoever is the lead, a much older gentleman than the possibly teenage employees, makes the other employees extremely uncomfortable and ruins the mood in this otherwise fun and cool little coffeshop. The employees are extremely nice and I havent had a bad experience with them, so I dont know what the issue is. There is being a stringent but fair lead and then there cursing out some poor girl,who looks like shes still in Highschool, in the store over I guess it was an error in a coffee batch. Repeatedly.
