0 stars. Will be seeking litigation. After speaking with two separate reps from your reservation center and having both of them tell me that we would have no issues checking my 16 year old and her cousin in for an emergency stay without an adult the front desk clerk "DK" who refused to even tell me his actual name sent them out on the streets of mckinney tx at 10pm by themselves. I confirmed with both of the reps at least twice during each call and they both said they would be able to check in with zero issues. Your company made an agreement then an entry level front desk clerk broke that agreement and put two children on the street with no place to sleep and then proceeded to hang up on me. He spoke arrogantly and rudely to my 16 year old and myself. He did not care that they were putting children in a dangerous situation which speaks volumes for econlodge and their branches. I have already put in a call to my legal counsel and am filing a formal complaint with the company. This will be rectified if I have to sell my company to fund the legal fees and spend the next 10 years in deposition. These are children! You put children on the streets because your poorly run company hired incompetent employees. I will be bringing charges of child endangerment and filing reports with the bbb. I specifically confirmed multiple times with multiple people and your rep decided his opinion matters more than...
Read moreI made a reservation at this hotel for my 19 y.o. son, ONLY after calling the hotel first and confirming that the minimum age for check-in was 18 y.o. When my son arrived to check-in today, the Manager, Ashish Desai, refused to allow my son to check-in and stay there because he was not 21 y.o. I told Mr. Desai that his employee had confirmed with me earlier that day (I had only made the reservation about 14 hours earlier) that my son would be able to check-in and stay there even though under the age of 21. Mr. Desai's reply was that his employee should not have said that. He further explained that it was Choice Hotel policy - not his - that the minimum age for a guest checking was 21 and, therefore, he could do nothing for me or my son. Well. . . I called Choice Hotels corporate to confirm that what Mr. Desai had told me was actually the hotel chain's policy. It was not. It was explained to me that the minimum age for check-in was at the discretion of each hotel. The lack of customer service from Mr. Desai speaks volumes about this hotel. This hotel does not even deserve 1 star. And, btw, Mr. Desai did not care that he would get a bad review from me. A truly unfortunate experience that Mr. Desai, as owner and manager of this hotel, could...
Read moreI spent two days here, overall it wasn't terrible but it wasn't good either. I brought a black light to check the bed, it was clean; I peeled off the sheets and was pleasantly surprised there wasn't any signs of bed bugs or nesting, however I did find cockroaches.. There was some left over items by the microwave from the pervious visitor which honestly made me wonder how well the room was actually cleaned if garbage was so easily left behind. The staff was friendly which was great but the building itself is in serious need of an update. Everytime I left my room it was like walking into one of those horror movie hallways, the carpets just look nasty and it's some how not centered. The pool was okay, it's got enough room for about 5 people to swim comfortably. The hot tub was...not good. It has maybe enough room for two people, three if you're close with them. The over all experience here wasn't the worst but honestly I've had a better experience at a motel 6, no roach roommates there. Sadly I didn't get any rest because the thought of roaches crawling on me made me paranoid. Also just as a rule of thumb for the ladies who travel alone, don't stay here it's VERY sketchy and the only thing keeping people out is cheap little...
