We called Frisco Christmas Lights (FCL) for service last year and were contacted by a contractor of theirs. We had lights installed by their contractor Justin who said he would remove the lights at the first of the year. After calling, texting and emailing FCL and their contractor, we were told FCL claimed no responsibility for their contractor because our contract was with Justin and not with FCL. We finally hired our light removal with another company and got the lights removed mid-February. How embarrassing. We were hopeful tha FCL would make it right and at least offer an estimate for light removal since payment was not the issue. We simply wanted our Christmas lights removed. Unless you live West of DNT, do not contact FCL. They will not service your area if it falls outside of their bounds.
I want to note that we initially contacted FCL based solely on Google reviews. However, after seeing how unprofessional they are and how they couldn't even offer us a quote to remove the lights, I would steer clear of their company as they are highly unprofessional. Also, don't try calling the phone number because it goes to voicemail. In sum, they have no real staff and hire out recent high school grad contractors who complete only half the work and never respond to calls, texts or emails. Help yourself and hire another reputable company.
Response to owner: Thank you for your prompt reply. As we previously mentioned, we did not expect another company to honor someone else’s work. We did, however, expect resolve in the form of an estimate for light removal at the very least. This would have been professional and courteous on your part. Alas, your company offered nothing but excuses and a half attempt to locate Justin. While our contract was not with FCL directly, FCL gave Justin our contact information and allowed him to reach out to us for business, establishing him as an FCL subsidiary. These same contractors wore your Frisco Christmas Lights uniform during our light install. Therefore, you should do your due diligence when hiring subsidiaries that represent your company or at least own up and take some responsibility when they will inevitably fail. It has been 7 months since I posted my initial review, and your reply does not even address our issue with FCL and is yet another attempt to not accept any responsibility. Our review(s) are an effort to help others avoid this absolute headache during a holiday season that is supposed to be...
Read moreFrisco Christmas Lights used to be a GREAT company. This year after 8 years of installing our lights they said they couldn't because our roof was too difficult. Seems the business partners parted ways and the one that left was the person able to get the good crew from the fire station. Now we are scrambling at the last minute to find a new installer. The sad part is they have our house on their website. Why show something you can no...
