I gave 1 star because there is no zero star option. The business owner and the people who work here follow unethical business practices. I ordered six bagels for all my family members. They have half a dozen price on the menu. I asked them to cut and toast the bagels. They said it will take 15 minutes. But they took more than 30 minutes and they did not deliver our order. They just kept our bagels on the side without toasting. When I went and asked (several times) still they did not care. When I asked for the reason for the delay, they said it takes more time to toast because there are lot of orders. This is an utter lie. Because they did deliver lot of orders which they took after us. When I asked about this, they again lied that all those orders were not toasted. But those were actually toasted because I know those other customers personally. So they lied over and over. Also, they were very rude and careless. This is not my first experience. They did this every time I ordered 6 bagels. I sensed that they are delaying because, the price is less for a half a dozen. When I ordered less than 6 bagels, they delivered normally. It is the same people working there every time I go and it the same people who lied and behaved rudely every time. So, finally I decided to write a review about their unethical business practices. Why should they have such a menu price and follow unethical practices? Read moreI truly love einstein bros bagels, but this location makes me not want them. Which is sad. This location is the closest to my place so I often go here most of the time. And almost every time it's a bad experience. It's a bad experience not because of the food but because of the service. Lol and I don't even dine in; my husband and I do pick ups. And to highlight specifically doordash pick ups. Almost every time we pick up, they ALWAYS take a long time and the order isn't ready in time, even though they hit "order ready" so that on my end of doordash the merchant showed that the order is ready. There's also been multiple times that my husband came in to get the food and showed the order from his phone and they told him to wait for the pick up orders is on the "other side" just to be called back to the original front desk place to give him the order.
But that's not even a big issue personally. Even the lie saying my order is ready for pick up when it's actually not, is not the biggest issue I'm trying to write about. It's their attitude and demeanor. They would talk SO RUDELY to my husband. Mind you, my husband is probably the same race as they are too—ethnically south asian (but hey I don't wanna assume they're that ethnicity nor do I wanna make this about race to begin with, being a south asian person myself). Read moreManagement at this store is very rude and not customer friendly. My friend had ordered a begal sandwich with 2 eggs, we got home and there was none. We drove back to the store and told them, they made another sandwich which had half an egg on it. We said something and the Indian gentleman who said he was the manager told us that we are being too fussy and scolded us. I know there is an egg shortage but if you are going to offer a product and take payment for it then you should deliver. I won't go back to this store. I felt like I was dealing with the "Soup Nazi" from Seinfeld.
I went to the store on Independence Patkway in Plano and they were so much better. I suggest everyone find a different location. It adds 2 mins to the drive time to go there but they are so much friendly. For example they even asked for my phone number so I could get my rewards. This store told me that was not possible and told me I had to take the number on my receipt and figure out on my own how to add to my account on the web.
