Update..... I spent around $120 ordering from this place through Uber Eats, excited to try something new. I chose two popular dishes: the Oha soup and the Egusi soup. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The food had a strong, unpleasant smell and taste that made it inedible for me.

I reached out to the restaurant to explain the issue and ask for a refund. They did respond, but their reply wasn’t helpful or solution-focused. For the amount I paid, I expected much better quality and customer care.

I’m sharing this to help others be cautious. I respect different cuisines and love exploring new foods, but this experience fell far short of expectations.

(response to owner)

Good day, and thank you for your response.

I truly appreciate the effort that goes into preparing authentic dishes, and I respect your passion for sharing Nigerian cuisine. That’s exactly why I was excited to try something new I’d heard great things about both Oha and Egusi soup.

That said, the taste and smell were extremely overwhelming for me, and I wasn’t expecting such a strong, unfamiliar flavor. While I understand that these are beloved dishes for many, it’s also fair for a customer to share their honest experience, especially when spending $120 through a third-party platform.

I did reach out through Uber Eats first, and when I spoke to your staff directly, I hoped for more support. I appreciate that you said you’d follow up, but from the customer side, it didn’t feel like anything was resolved.

I shared my review not to be unkind, but to help others make an informed choice; especially those who are new to these dishes. It’s not about disrespecting the culture or cuisine at all.

Wishing you continued success and hoping this feedback is taken in the spirit it was intended with honesty and mutual respect.

Kind...

Best Nigerian food and customer service in Dallas, TX. Had a last minute trip to Dallas. Called this restaurant while I was boarding and the customer service over the phone was excellent- very impressive. Had Uber pick up and I arrived at my hotel and the same time as the Uber(package) delivery- distance was from McKinney, TX to the Arts district. Food was neatly packed. No sipping and every package was upright in the bag- Ordered Amala with gberiri and ewedu. The Amala was soft and hot on arrival, the Gbegiri was thick(not watery) and so could actually taste the beans and I could actually taste the ewedu too. Was unable to taste the snail and Asun. Will freeze and take back home in the morning because I had like 8 pieces of meat in my meal(couldn’t finish either)- bowl of Amala and meat was very generous and can be shared~ over all,...

We have a strong Nigerian-American presence in our church, and we wanted to highlight their culture for our congregation during World Communion Day, so I reached out to Honey-Dip Fingerz to see if they would cater lunch for us. They were extremely communicative -- following up quickly with great food recommendations. We ended up with spring rolls, puff puff, jollof rice, and chicken wings to feed 150 people, and everything arrived hot and filled the entire sanctuary with the most delicious aromas. The food was beautifully prepared and packaged for easy transport, and everyone had the most wonderful things to say about the food. I will absolutely be ordering again from them and I look forward to the next event we can cater with them in the future. Top notch all around -- service, communication, food, and overall experience....

It was my first time trying Honey-Dip Fingerz, so I needed help ordering because I didn’t fully understand the menu. I’ve had African food before and really enjoy it, but I wasn’t sure how their ordering worked. The menu said the dish came with meat, but when I ordered from a young girl at the counter, she asked if I wanted meat for an extra charge. That confused me, so I said no. She mentioned it came with fufu, which I was happy about. I ordered it to-go and got egusi soup with fufu. I know African food can be a bit expensive, so I wasn’t surprised the total was about $35. However, the meat was very tough and inedible, so I ended up throwing it away. The egusi soup had good flavor, but overall, I’ve had a better experience ordering egusi from other African restaurants through Uber Eats.

Wow!! Food was amazing. My very first time trying Nigerian food. I got the Jollof Rice with peppered Chicken for my wife and I. Baby Mercy tried it as well and loved it! lol see picture. I’ve never had rice with so much flavor. The chicken too!!..It had some kind of sauce on it that all went very well with the rice. We also tried the meat pie that was very tasty. All homemade food! Don’t be afraid to try if you’ve never tried Nigerian food. I’m excited to go back to try the Puff puff. The service was great as well. The owner was Filled with Joy as she walked up to take my order. She was very helpful in helping pick what to order as it was my first time. The restaurant was very well decorated and had such a peaceful atmosphere!
