This place was very good. We went on a Friday and made a reservation. We asked to be inside and to be able to see the local artist of the day play music. The place was packed but our place was reserved as promised. The restaurant has 3 areas. The main floor were the bar is has around 6 or 7 tables and a sofa area. The second area can be reserved for parties, has a few tables and a sitting area and is divided from the main area by a type of island that overlooks towards the small stage (that is where we sat). Outside there is a nice patio (that could use a bit more ambiance or plant decor.
The food menu consist of mostly tablas ir what other may call tapas... Variety of cheese, olives, dips, salads and light snacks to have while you enjoy a flight of wines.
Overall the experience was great but the place was very loud (we went there to celebrate our anniversary), it could use better sound proofing and a partition maybe in between areas, you had to literally tell at your party to carry on a conversation. Although if you probably visit during the week you could carry on a proper conversation and take advantage of their offers.
If you are a wine lover, you can become a member as well and enjoy some of their perks of trying new varieties and getting some type of discount.
Age groups visiting the place range from late twenty to people's on their sixties, most customers on their 40s and 50s.
Music performance could be awesome outside with some better atmosphere as the show sort of goes missing with...
Read moreIâm not sure where to start, but this is definitely may go to when I am in McKinney, or when we want a night out! They have the best food! Most restaurants, even the great ones, you'll experience one meal that is not the greatest ⊠not at ZinZen! Every meal! Itâs delicious!
It is an easy place to pop in for lunch, because you donât have to drive around forever looking for a place to park or go park in some garage. Itâs always a relatively quiet place at lunchtime and an easy place to meet friends for a quick bite. I have also ordered from there for lunch hour and then food is equally as good, even on the go!
If you ever want a great night out, or just a date night, they always have live music! They always have good musicians and you can always see whoâs playing before you go. Since, it is first come first serve, once you get there, your table is usually yours for the night! The dining area is small and quaint so itâs not super crowded and you still have a table or bar stool to enjoy the music.
They also have Wine of the Month Club, which has been a wonderful gift for a few of my friends!! Wine is there a specialty, so you know itâs a gift theyâll love!!
If you are new to the area Weâre looking for a unique place for a happy hour or a meal you wonât regret, Zin Zen is the place! 5...
Read moreThis is a cute little place in McKinney! It is cozy and a bit small but tastefully done. Perfect for girls night out, a date night or just to relax! It is nestled in The Adriatica village which is a European themed area with cobblestoned streets! This little place fits right into the European charm giving you a full vibe of enjoying your drink in Italy especially if you are sitting outside (without breaking bank on travelđ).
Now to most important part - Food!! I have been here a few times and each experience is amazing! Good options for vegetarians! I always end up getting their veggie flatbread which is super delish along with beetroot and arugula salad.. again it is out of this world good IMO! Excellent drinks and extremely friendly staff! They have always been busy every time I visited and yet the staff never mixed or messed up our order, always smiling and stoking friendly conversations! Love the experience! They also have live band playing which makes the experience even more joyful!
Now for the only down side I have ever experienced here - on my latest visit few days ago, everything else was amazing as usual but the circular couches across from bar were extremely uncomfortable to sit in and ended up having a horrible tight back and am in...
