Hank's Place — Restaurant in McPherson

Was here during the car show May/june 18. Went with 2 families to eat dinner. Sat for 20 minutes waiting for staff to know we were there. Had to get their attention. It took 45 to 50 minutes before we could finally get our order placed. Took an hour to get the food. That is NO JOKE The place was busy and they only had 3 servers running around for the whole place. Not a real kitchen when you look next to the bar. Then I seen our waitress also cooking trying to help the lone old guy cooking. No wonder she disappeared. Finally got my empty water refilled just before the meal arrived. Grossly understaffed and mismanaged. To top it off there was 12-14 yoa kid working behind the bar, serving drinks and washing glasses. That alone would cause the business to loose its...

Excellent place to stop for a late evening dinner....Burgers & fries were absolutely amazing.....didn't have to wait long for our food....Jack & Coke was tastefully made!! We will definitely be back!! Relaxing atmosphere for family & friends to enjoy food, drinks & dancing....even got to smile & enjoy the family with small children dancing ...so Precious.....If you are passing through McPherson,KS plan to stop here for a quick bite to eat & cold drink....Thanks Again Crew at Hanks Place for the Awesome...

I'm sorry but this was terrible. Poor waitress was extremely busy with what appeared to be no help. If that wasn't bad enough our two bacon wrapped filets cooked medium was served a good hour and a half after ordering with no bacon wrap and well done. Thursday steak night needs a cook. Since we were traveling through and wanted some local cuisine unfortunately picked the wrong place. Also noticed other patrons, probably locals, waiting way to long...
