Have you ever walked into some place and knew the moment you stepped foot into the lobby it was going to be one of the best meals of your life? From the obviously family-owned kitschy charm, to the austere decor, this place pours every cent into their product and you can tell. A myriad of options for toppings, sides and burger alternatives, this little shop in the middle of nowhere is officially my favorite restaurant in McPherson, KS.

I opted for the double bacon cheeseburger with lettuce, the last tomato, onion and pickles. I took one bite to tide me over for the ten minute walk home and ended up devouring both of the burgers I'd purchased before I even saw the halfway mark. Stopped for a quick bite before heading home. To our surprise this place was empty. I got a double cheese burger and my husband got the double hickory burger with the corn nuggets. Prices were compatible to fast food, but the quality is so much better. The man that took our order was very nice, he let us take our time, helped us pick our order and made fantastic burgers. This place is a local joint that is mainly focused on pickup but has room inside for seating four and a few seats outside. The fries come without salt but a small packet is provided. They are a little soft for my tastes but are still a little crispy. The burgers weren't juicy but certainly tasty with that flat iron grill style about it.
