We went to the Mebane, North Carolina Cracker Barrel for dinner around 7:00 last night. It was the worse experience and we will not be back to this location! We were seated quickly but waited a long time for our food. When our food finally arrived, my order wasn't there. The waitress had one of my sides but not the entree or other side. She took the side back and said she will return it with my full meal soon. I was okay waiting at first. She came back after my family was almost finished their meal and said my chicken was just put in to be cooked and it would be 10 more minutes or did I want to order something else.I said I would wait since they already started cooking it. After waiting a long time, I wanted to speak with the manager. She came over and asked what I wanted. She said they were short staffed and it has been a bad day. As a customer I don't need excuses. She asked what I wanted. I said I wanted my meal to go. After waiting another 15 minutes I finally received my chicken in a box. I asked where are my sides. The waitress said she will check. She also, said she would get to go refills for me and my 2 other family members drinks. That never happened. The waitress said my sides would be right out. She gave me the bill for the other two family meals. I left my family to wait at the table for my sides and I went to pay at the register. The cashier asked how my meal was I said terrible, I have yet to receive my food. She said they are short staffed, almost didn't open today. I went back to my table and my sides were not there yet. I waited 20 minutes for steak fries! I saw other tables getting their food. The manager came out of the kitchen with my fries. I asked where was my other side. She said she doesn't know anything about that. How does a manager not know how many sides are with a meal? Also, aren't sides served with the entree. I waited again. Finally after 2 hours at cracker barrel I had my meal. When the manager came out, I said I wanted a comp for our whole meal. She grabbed my receipt out of my hand and said she would take care of it. I said will I get a refund? She said why did I pay. She was not very nice, not very professional. She went to the cash register and started the refund. I gave my family my food and waited on the side of the registers. She got a bag and said to the cashier that "these customers" meaning me and my family are being impatient and she didn't see me right there listening. She handed me the bag and did the refund. This the worse customer service I ever had. We will not be returning to...

His name was Elijah. He was new and wasn’t the quickest and had a few mistakes, but he was very apologetic and truly doing his best. I would blame management because he should’ve been trained a bit more before being left alone. My sister ordered fried tenders, and they came out about 20 minutes later only to say that they didn’t have any more, so she had to choose something else. She ordered the burger, which was supposed to come with onion, lettuce, tomato, and pickles, but it came out with only cheese and arrived 10 minutes before everyone else's food. My order came out missing a side, and they brought it out after I finished my food. My grandfather and I ordered the same thing. They told my grandfather that they didn’t have any more bone-in chicken, so they let him choose something else. When they brought his food out, they brought the wrong chicken. They then told him his order was in and that it would be 5 more minutes. They came back out and said that the fryer was broken, and they couldn’t fix any chicken. Seconds later, another server said they could fix chicken. They brought him his sides, and he ate those, but when they finally brought out the chicken, it wasn’t hot. They had to bring it in a to-go container because we were ready to leave. I checked the receipt, and they tried to charge my grandfather for the meal he never received. When we went to checkout, my total was $50, but when the cashier scanned it, she messed up, and it went to $67. I asked her to adjust the price to what he received, and she called the manager over. The manager came over and said, 'What’s the problem?' I started explaining what happened, and she cut me off and didn’t let me finish explaining. Read moreMy husband, grandson, and I stopped at the Mebane, N.C. location of Cracker Barrel. We were on our way out of town for Christmas. We have always loved Cracker Barrel and this location worked best with our trip.
We sat down at 6:40 pm. The waitress brought our drinks in a timely manner. About 10 minutes later, she took our order (6:52pm). We waited and waited on our food, all while watching numerous families sit down after us, receive their food, and leave! Finally, at 7:40 pm, a woman approached our table and just looked at us. She didn't introduce herself or say anything. I said "we've been waiting on our dinner for one hour." She said "let me check on it." She didn't come back! At 7:55 pm, I asked to speak to the Manager. It took about 10 minutes, but the same lady came out! When I said "you never came back," she dismissed me and said "we only received your ticket 20 minutes ago!" I said "that is a complete lie!" She said that our server came to our table and told us that what we ordered wasn't available and we changed it! ANOTHER LIE! This woman (long dark hair) was the rudest person that I have ever dealt with in the food industry! She rolled her eyes at me as if I was lying! She talked to me horribly! The table beside us said that everyone was fed except their youngest child, and when the food was brought to the child over an hour later, the Mother refused to pay for it because the child no longer wanted it. I would be ashamed if I were the owners of this location and I had hired the worst imaginable "manager" possible that treated paying customers like she did us! BTW, our bill was over $51.00 and no offer was made to reduce the bill! Never again at this location!! OWNERS NEED TO READ THIS!
