I dont often leave 1 star reviews. But this place deserves 0 stars. I stop at Trollingwood Road every trip to my moms since I prefer Pilot and Flying J truck stops. Today, my son wanted McDonald's. We went to Pilot first and used their restroom, which was clean as always. Then, we went back in McDonald's and I decided to place an order at the kiosk. While I understand this philosophy given todays economy, I prefer to order at the counter. Anyway, the order was placed, grabbed the placard for table 8, and sat down with the expectation that food would be brought to the table. While sitting, I observed employees taking multiple orders and customers ordering at the kiosks. One employee taking orders was walking around extremely lazy, almost like a zombie. After 20 minutes of waiting and watching 10-12 people get their food, many of whom came in after me, we got frustrated. Keep in mind that we ordered a McChicken combo and a new spicy Jalepeno burger combo. I decided to go to the counter and wait. Another customer also had issues with his order not being ready. While I stood at the counter for 5 minutes waiting to be acknowledged, a worker came by and said loudly, Table 8! Thought the placard said they will bring order to you, guess not. I said, "You can take that food back, I want a refund." After some back and forth with my complaint, I handed the receipt to the lady. She refunded me my money and even got that WRONG!!!!!! At least 90 cents short. Talk about a complete failure. I don't complain often, but these folks are overpaid and don't care. They walk around lackadaisical and could care less. If I had gone to Bojangles across I-40, I would have had no issues based on past experiences. The management team at this location needs some guidance and hard truth or should be completely replaced. While convenient, I would avoid this location at all costs. 30+ minute wait, wrong refund amount even with the receipt, no manager cared to make it right and filthy table that I wiped off myself. The lady still offered me the food, and I refused out of fear it would have been tampered with. We left and drove past Raleigh to eat. Much better experience. I work in customer service daily, and I would be embarrassed to have this staff working for me. They wouldn't be employed long. Avoid this location at all...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThey need new management or something down here, it's a 20-25 mins wait and it doesn't matter if it's packed or if it's just 2 to 3 customers, you're still going to wait. And they're too lazy to take your order at the register, they tell you that you can order at the self kiosk but don't tell you how to do it if you're paying with cash instead of cars, and then get an attitude when you ask if you can just pay the register with an actual employee. Which wouldn't be a big deal..if you didn't STILL have to pay with cash at the employee register instead of the self kiosk, and IF they had an employee explaining how to do it or had something on the kiosk that explaoned it. They just expect you to know as the customer, even though you don't work there and they aren't any help. And if you just need a sauce or some salt, be prepared to wait for an extra 10-15 mins until someone comes up to you and asks if they can help you, or if you need anything, or if they forgot anything. Honestly there's not many McDonald's that are impressive anymore but this one is definitely one I would avoid at all costs if at all possible. I mean unless you like to be treated like a burden as a customer everytime you walk through the door. If you're into that then by all means have at it lol. There is 2 employees there that keep that whole show running and actually do their jobs right after 10pm and they're working very hard to keep the customers happy. But those 2 guys can only do so much. For those 2 guys tho, you are sincerely appreciated!! You 2 try your best to treat customers with respect and do your jobs correctly and you both need a raise STAT!! BESIDES those 2 guys...they need to hire a whole new...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust left. I had a mobile order and asked to add on a cup of pickles. Cashier stated that she could not because of mobile order. I stated no problem I will pay at the window. I get to window a young man was there and asked if I wanted my receipt I answered YES. He then said he could not print it because of an issue with the printer and I asked if he could print from another machine, he stated he did not know how so I asked if he could ask a manager to print for him. He then called the manager and she came up to print receipt. The young man told me to give her a moment I said ok and can I also pay for a cup of pickles? THE MANAGER then slammed the window in my face while she was still looking down and NEVER looked up or acknowledged me from the moment she walked up! So I yelled through the closed window THATS OKAY FOR HER NOT TO WORRY ABOUT IT! I would like to state that there is no way to add on a cup of pickles in the APP, I HAVE LOOKED. You can ask for as extra pickles (which is always 2 or 3). I have counted out a number before ex:5, I only get 3 or 3. I have asked for HEAVY PICKLES, again I only get 2 or 3. So, one day I asked how I should order to get more than 2 or 3 pickles. I was told to just order a cup which is $.30. If I am asking for it ahead of time and willing to pay for what I am asking and if I am asked from your employee if I want a receipt and I answer yesā¦PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH THAT?????? THAT PARTICULAR MANAGER WAS RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL BECAUSE I WANTED TO BUT A CUP OF PICKLES AND I WANTED A...
