The Habit Coffee Company — Restaurant in Mebane

My wife and I have both visited this location twice. Both times the coffee was very good. The decor inside is kind of strange with the color green and the walls are very empty. You do not come here for the relaxing atmosphere. Tables and chairs are spread out so you shouldn't feel like someone is breathing down your neck. Service is quick when not busy and the staff has been friendly. Their standard drinks and their seasonal specials are easy to locate and read.

They do have some small snack items, sourced by a local bakery, such as scones, muffins, cookies. You may also purchase some of their merchandise such as t-shirts.

My largest suggestion, which I hope the owner sees, is their sign out front is hard to spot from the road. My suggestion is to change that sign to draw more road traffic. A lot of travelers will be coming off the highway to go to Dunkin' Donuts and will never see this coffee shop sitting right smack in front of them.

This seems to be a nice coffee shop that's been added to our small city. I think it has the potential to do well on that side of the highway. Downgraded my review today, 5/24/25. It's been almost a year since I've been going here, and something is lacking now. Not as friendly as before, and my drinks have either been done wrong or lacked flavor the last 2 weekend visits. They have a new middle-aged woman who can't get my drinks right, and shes very slow. I ordered a frappe, I get iced, or the seasonal drink lacks flavor. Never had this issue before. I will stick to my normal drink from now on because it makes me nervous to spend money on something I might not like. Salvation Coffee had this same issue. We used to go in, and they knew who you were until it became trendy. Then they had no clue who we were. Felt like going to Starbucks. As a local spot, i hope it gets better. Don't get lazy. I absolutely love their coffee shop and it’s not often I get to come out this way to get it anymore because I moved so far away but when I do, I always look forward to it until today…. Mother of three children, which can make it hard on unbuckling everyone and trying to lug inside just to get a coffee…. usually do the online order but for some reason my cards not working so I called them to see if they could take my order over the phone and they told me no, then I asked if I could come through their drive-through, which is usually only for online orders, I notified them why and that I had cash and they still told me no… it’s unfortunate and all the business and people I have recommended to this place too, it really rubbed me the wrong way…..
