Five Guys — Restaurant in Mechanicsville

Went in to place an order with a party of seven. While ordering on the mobile app noticed two girl cooks staring in our direction and whispering about us. This occured one time before back in January and we ignored it. But this time was too much. With a potential order cost of $120, we felt that 5 Guys doesn't need the money that badly, and walked out. While we were walking out with our backs turned, they started waving at us, but were caught in the act. Still not sure what we did to deserve the deplorable behavior from employees that are obviously too lazy for a big top. Mod pizza next door took care of us with great customer service and better quality food while the total cost was $40 cheaper than subpar burgers. Can no longer recommend this establishment. I mean, YUM! Definitely one of the best and only places you can get a great burger quick... but for every win, there must be a fail! Not feeling the prices at all! $13 for a small cheeseburger and a small cajun fry, is ri-donk-ulous! Yes, they give you a ton of fries by putting them into the little holder and then dumping a bunch into the bag, but still... great burger, but $13 is still steep for a burger and fries! I'm also not a fan of how you can call your order in ahead of time, but you still have to wait bc they don't start the fries til you get there... if I'm calling it in, I'm fully aware they might be done a couple minutes before arrival, but I'm ok with that. Waiting til I get there to start them, kinda defeats the purpose of calling it in to...

Five Guys hamburgers are just great. What else can you say. Their French Fries are fresh and done boardwalk style with vinegar sitting at the counter waiting to go one them. The burgers are cooked to order, yup they don't go on the grill until you order. Here is what surprises me about 5 Guys. I have waited in McDonald's for a hamburger longer then I have waited in 5 Guys, so why would anyone ever walk into a McDonald's when there is a 5 Guys with a 1/8th of a mile.
