On 2/8/25, this restaurant refused to serve me and kicked me out because I had my service dog with me. After the host seated me (he appeared to be a minor) I sat waiting for the rest of my party to arrive. After a few minutes, a waiter named Miguel approached and told me to leave because of my service dog, who was laying down in command. I asked him why and he said no pets. I explained that my service dog (who was vested and acting appropriately) is not a pet. He refused to hear any more and walked away while rudely telling me to leave. The host who seated me came up to me a few minutes after that and asked me to leave again. I asked why and he said no pets. I explained ADA law to him and told him that my dog was a service dog and he was only legally allowed to ask me 1) Is this a service dog? and 2) What tasks does the service dog perform for me?. He listened and then still asked me to leave. I asked him to talk to a manager and they refused to send one over to me and repeated that I needed to leave. Miguel finally came out from his hiding spot and yelled at me from the bar (about 10-15 feet away from where I was seated) to leave again and I told him I have legal access to all public spaces with my service dog. He then yelled "What's your disability then?" I told him it was illegal to ask me that and asked him to come talk to me so I didn't have to have this embarrassing conversation in front of the other people eating there. He refused again and went back to the kitchen to hide. The host came up to me again and asked me to leave and I asked for their names so I could file a report with the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division. The host (who didn't look over 16 years old) had the fortitude to speak with me and listen to what I had to say, but then still asked me to leave.
I filed a report with the DOJ Civil rights division right there on the spot and will be actively pursuing this complaint. I am also in contact with the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint at the local level.
*Update-2/12/25 The organization that trained my service dog aggressively attempted to contact the restaurant and finally got through after 15 phone calls. It seems Miguel did some research after I left and realized he was wrong and apologized to me. They also invited me back for a complimentary meal. Thank you Miguel for the apology and thank you for doing some research and asking good questions about what can and can't be asked of a person with...
Read moreOur friends and family recommended that my husband and I should try out this restaurant that is considered to be the best in town. Upon arrival, we were seated, but the waiter took an awfully long time to serve us our drinks, chips, and the menu. Eventually, our food was served, but it didn't live up to our expectations. The food tasted as if it was pre-packaged and lacked authenticity - something just wasn't right. I ordered the fajitas, but they were mushy and contained a lot of fat, making it unappetizing. My husband's dish was also not great, and we ended up not finishing the meal. Our drinks needed refilling, but the waiter seemed to ignore our needs and we had to flag him down. I would not recommend this restaurant as the food lacked authenticity and the service was subpar.
On top of that, another couple was in this restaurant. It's not like it was a restaurant full of people, and it wasn't. I don't know if the restaurant waiter just didn't care or what, but it'd be different if this person were extremely busy, which didn't look like that, but honestly, that is my opinion, and I'm going to stick with it. I believe that other Mexican restaurants are better and more tastier, and they're also authentic. It's hard to find authentic Mexican...
Read moreOur server Miriam was quick and friendly. Full size margaritas were delicious, not watered down nonsense. The five dollar one was not as good, I recommend paying an extra 2.50 for a full size, it's totally worth it. They have more flavor, are bigger, and definitely more tequila! We ordered half steak and half chicken two person fajitas, and steak enchiladas, both were delicious! We had left overs for two days with such good portions. I also liked that our meals came with guacamole. We ordered some to start just in case, and then had a bunch! A lot of places I've been to in Medford the meals don't include guac which is strange to me. We went on a quiet Monday evening, they let us choose the booth we wanted, and greeted us like we were regulars even though it was our first time. We absolutely recommend and definitely...
