I'm not in the habit of writing reviews but after our experience on July 1st to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary I'm aggravated enough to express my opinion. My husband wanted to celebrate with a really good steak so we decided to drive the 45 miles to indulge at the Outback Steakhouse where we've eaten many times. We arrived at 12:10 p.m. and we were immediately seated. There weren't many customer in the restaurant when we arrived but it still took about 20 minutes just to get the drinks we'd ordered. It took another 30 minutes to get the soup and salad. After waiting 45 minutes my husband was so upset he was ready to leave but I talked him in to staying. We were stunned it took another 30 minutes to get our meal. My husband ordered a medium rare 8 oz. Sirloin which arrived over cooked with just a hint of pink inside. It was tough and based on previous 8 oz steaks he's had in the past it wasn't a 8 oz portion. He would have sent it back but after the long wait to get it, it hardly seem prudent to wait another 30 minutes to get a replacement. My salad was good as was the Alice Springs Chicken but the portions keep getting smaller every time we come. I requested our bill as soon as our meal arrived thinking it would speed up our leaving. Shortly before we were finished eating our waiter arrived with our bill and told us to take it to the cashier when we were ready to leave. I placed his tip on the table and we took the bill up to the hostess. She informed us that our waiter was the cashier and she took our bill to him to take care of. I stood there waiting for my change and a receipt which never came. After waiting another 10 minutes I was disgusted by the whole experience and just left. It was 2:30 p.m. by then. It shouldn't take 2 hr. and 20 min. to have lunch. NOT A GOOD ANNIVERSARY EXPERIENCE for either of us. Sadly, we weren't the only dissatisfied customers who had long waits. The fellow in the vehicle next to ours was so angry he left his party in the restaurant and went outside to cool down. He told my husband he and his friends go to the Outback often and it was his turn to pay so he couldn't leave. He said they had been waiting 1 1/2 hours and their meal still hadn't arrived. The service in the past has been pretty good but this time it was horrific. It appeared they were horribly understaffed. Perhaps this was a fluke but we won't be...
Read moreDuring a recent road trip through Medford, OR, my family and I stopped at the local Outback Steakhouse, and it turned out to be a delightful experience.
The atmosphere at Outback Steakhouse was inviting and cozy, providing a welcoming environment for diners. The decor was rustic yet modern, adding to the overall appeal of the restaurant. The staff at Outback Steakhouse were friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Our waitress was particularly accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant dining experience.
We started our meal with the iconic Bloomin' Onion, which was crispy, flavorful, and served with two delicious dipping sauces—ranch and horseradish. It was a perfect appetizer to share with the family.
My wife and I both enjoyed cocktails from the menu. I opted for the Old Fashioned, which was a bit strong but still tasty. My wife tried a limited-time drink made with vodka and Midori, served with a fun croc garnish. The waitress even brought an extra croc for our second kid to play with, which was a thoughtful touch.
My ribeye was cooked to perfection and accompanied by a delicious baked potato and the best wedge salad I've ever had. It was crisp, flavorful, and topped with a delightful bleu cheese and balsamic sauce, along with red onion and cherry tomatoes.
The kids enjoyed the Joey Steaks, which were tender and well-seasoned, earning their stamp of approval.
My wife's ribeye was generously portioned and served with creamy mashed potatoes and a side of vegetables. She also ordered a side of Mac n Cheese and mushrooms and onions to top off her steak. Her only critique was that the mac could have used more cheese sauce.
Our dining experience at Outback Steakhouse in Medford, OR, was thoroughly enjoyable. From the inviting atmosphere and friendly service to the delicious food, it was a solid steakhouse experience that left us satisfied.
If you're in the Medford area and craving a hearty steakhouse meal with excellent service, Outback Steakhouse is worth a visit. Whether you're dining with family or friends, you're sure to enjoy the welcoming ambiance and...
Read moreI am normally not one to complain, but sadly, tonight is the third time I have ordered from this location with bad results. First time, much of my order was missing and I had to drive another 40 minutes back & forth to the restaurant a second time to get the rest of my order. The second time, we had it delivered via Door Dash and it was the entirely wrong order. They confirmed that we received someone else’s order, remade ours and re-delivered (with a free cheesecake) 45 minutes later. A two hour ordeal to get dinner. Tonight, I called them BEFORE I placed my online order to confirm everything and here is why: When ordering the Wedge Salad online, the description stated that it comes with blue cheese dressing, blue cheese crumbles, tomatoes, onions, bacon bits and balsamic glaze. The online order form stated that I needed to choose a dressing - however, blue cheese was not a choice. There were many other choices including blue cheese vinaigrette, but no blue cheese. Since the website wouldn’t let me proceed without choosing something, I chose no dressing and then called the location and spoke with their “takeout rep”. She took my name and said she would look out for my order and make sure that I received blue cheese (on a blue cheese wedge salad). When I picked up the order 45 minutes later, I asked her if I needed to check the order to make sure it was correct and she said she made sure it was. It was not. I received a wedge of iceberg lettuce topped with slices of red onion. No blue cheese crumbles, no bacon bits and no balsamic glaze… and RANCH DRESSING. Additionally, the shrimp was undercooked and gelatinous and my mom’s salmon was cold and hard as a rock. I called and spoke with the assistant manager. He said someone will be getting back to me in 1-2 days with some sort of “resolution”. Like I said, I don’t normally complain… but this is our third attempt at ordering takeout at $70 a pop and not getting what we ordered. If I could attach...
