Out here, west of the Twin Cities we live in a culinary wasteland.

There are very few restaurants serving an eat in/out meal that delights…my list includes India Baazar, Gion Vietnamese, Plymouth Garden (mixed Asian, mostly Chinese), Rock Elm Tavern, Birches on the Lake, and Culver’s for when you just need a top tier fast food hamburger and fries.

If you’re looking for something better, way better than any Mexican offering out here, I highly recommend Burrito Corner. It’s set up to be a takeout restaurant, maybe 5 tables inside. We have ordered our food on site, asked for the ingredients and condiments we like and new ones we wanted to experience- but you can e-order for pick -up or delivery.

The food is fresh, vibrantly flavored, visually appealing and really delicious! I can’t speak to authenticity, whatever that is exactly, but I can say it’s miles above anything I have had in Mexico, or any of the places that pretend to have something from Mexico on their menu locally.

If you’re from south Asia and you love spiced / high flavor food, I highly recommend trying this style of hot cuisine from the Americas.

It’s...

Delicious fresh Mexican food, very good quality, better than Chipotle, family owned, dairy free guac, Mario (owner) originally made me some on-the-house cream cheese filled donuts, but I told him I'm vegan so he immediately went back and made me some buñeulo/churro chips with a raspberry dipping sauce. That is GREAT service that he in no way had to do, he is just that nice of a guy! The kids working there were very friendly as well and seem to enjoy their jobs and working for Mario. I wish there were more locations of this in the metro, but that makes it a treat to come out to Medina. I'd never heard of this place, and had passed by it many times before finally stopping in and I highly recommend it! You can get made to order vegan taco, burrito, nacho, and bowl options. Go, you will not be disappointed. Burrito Corner for...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at burritos corner and it was an experience I’ll never forget. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for the evening. The attention to detail in both the decor and service made me feel like a valued guest.

The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was a burst of authentic Mexican flavors, prepared with evident care and creativity. The ingredients were fresh, and the presentation was beautiful—each plate felt like a piece of art.

Thank you to the entire team at burrito corner for an amazing experience. I’ll be coming back for sure and recommending it to friends and family. If you’re looking for an exceptional Mexican dining experience, this is...

Holy Guacamole! 1st time here after reading many positive reviews. We each got the 3 hard shell tacos. Carnitas, taco meat and barbacoa. This was VERY tasty. We just got back from the phoenix area where we had very good southwestern/ Mexican food and I would put Burrito corner right up there against any of them! 5 kind of meats, 11 toppings and 7 sauces/salsas. The owner came out and talked to us and told us all about this lovely family business. It is a chipotle type of place ramped up to a 10! You have to come try this place and you will definitely return! Everything was fresh and very flavorful. What a wonderful hidden gem in Hamel/Medina
