I visited for a consultation for wedding dress alterations and so far I'm really excited and satisfied to work with her! The boutique itself was very nice. Great lighting inside which I think is important for seeing your dress or garment property and very clean. She makes her own jewelry and hair pieces too which is awesome!! Not only can you get excellent alterations you can buy custom made items to go along with it. I will be bringing me dress back in the spring for my alterations because it won't take too long and I will most definitely be asking for a custom headpiece for my wedding. I bought some one of a kind earrings already when I visited, I can't wait to wear them!!!
Edit 5/12/21: Nguyet Bui with Imagine Stitch I would recommend to any friends, family or stranger. She is professional, patient, and passionate about what she does for a living. I had her alter my wedding dress which was long enough since I'm very tall but it was a little big on top. She did a suburb job making the straps shorter and redoing the intricate bead work my dress had. I had breast cups added for extra support and comfort and I think it looks amazing on me! I also had her bustle my train which also is seamless and was easy to explain to my MOH on how she would need to do it the day of the wedding.
One of my favorite aspects about this place and Nguyet was her passion for her work. Not only does she have extensive years of experience altering wedding dresses, mother of the bride dresses, bridesmaid, prom.. You name it. She also hand makes beautiful hair pieces, jewelry and other items! She made for me a custom 25 inch hair piece that went along with my dress as well as two other hair pieces. I liked them so much that I also asked her to make hair piece for all my bridesmaids! Their dresses are all different styles and colors, varying on the theme of rose gold so I asked her to make each of them different. They are perfect!!
The last item I don't think any bride during these times was expecting to need was a mask. Her handmade mask matched my dress and made me feel complete for my big day.
The storefront itself I love also, as you can see in the photos it's extremely well lit and bright so you can truly see what your garment looks like. I think good lighting makes a big difference so I think her setup is great. Her prices are competitive but doable in my opinion. I was paying for most of this wedding with my fiancé so I wanted to keep things as low as I could without compromising quality. If you're like me, this is the place for you. I think she charged exactly what she should for the hard work, time and intricate detail my dress and hair pieces all had. I am happy to say many good things about her as we had such a...
Read moreI had an appointment and brought by Wedding dress here for alterations, and the seamstress didn’t even bother to greet me upon walking in. She told me that my mom could help me get into it and just stayed in the back room, barely acknowledging us. After I put on my wedding dress, she insisted that my dress was overly complicated to work with, and that I would have to lose a bunch of the lace and other applications on my dress in order to get it to work.
She basically said that she was going to have to reconstruct the dress for me. And I said, “Isn’t that going to completely change the look of it?” The seamstress told me, “No one will know that though.” I responded, “But I will, and I am the bride, and this is the wedding dress I chose.”
Why would I have bought the dress if it was going to look nothing like how I originally bought it?
She told me that she would have to create holes in my dress, and overlap lace that wasn’t meant to be overlapped, etc.
I left because I had such a bad gut feeling, in fact, I had severe anxiety while there, and had my mom talk me off the ledge in the car. We ended up making an emergency appointment with another seamstress. The new seamstress told me that what was said initially was ridiculous and that there was no reason to have to take apart my dress/ruin the lace.
This whole experience was absolutely devastating on top of the current wedding stress that I have. The seamstress was so cold about it, not understanding at all, and extremely dismissive. This is probably one of the worst people I’ve worked with in planning my entire wedding. I absolutely do not recommend, especially if you want to have someone who actually cares about your wedding dress. I showed up to the next place holding back tears.

Read moreImagine Stitch was recommended to me by my bridal shop but unfortunately I had a terrible experience working with her and would not recommend that anyone get their wedding dress altered here.
When I tried on my dress after the alterations, the fit was very loose around my chest, a bra pad that had been sewn in was visible through the front of the dress, it was very loose fitting in general and was too long. I expressed my concerns (and dissatisfaction) with these aspects of the alterations and I was told that I was wrong on all accounts and if it was made any tighter that "my back fat would bulge out”, and I could purchase something at David's Bridal so that I wouldn't trip on the hem while walking.
At no point did she offer to do another round of alterations, and I felt like she was gas lighting me about my concerns and trying to rush me out of her shop. At this point I decided that I would not trust her to fix my dress and take my concerns seriously and I left extremely unhappy with my dress and with 4 business days until my wedding due to Labor Day.
I was really lucky to find another seamstress who was willing to do a rush job for me, and who confirmed that all of my concerns were valid and could be fixed: she took 2+ inches out of the waist, completely reconstructed the bodice to fit me like a glove, took up the hem .75 inches and made the bottom half of the dress more fitted.
I feel I was overcharged for very poor quality work and customer service and was not listened to at all when I expressed concerns. Please save yourself the time, money and stress and find someone more professional...
