He was incredibly welcoming, efficient with check-in, and full of helpful local recommendations that truly enhanced our stay. Whether it was a suggestion for a fantastic dinner spot or directions to a nearby attraction, Alan was always knowledgeable and eager to assist with a genuine smile. Registered one year in advance for a first floor accommodation. Upon confirming availability, I was told it would be a three day minimum stay for accommodation, so I agreed. Upon arrival, I learned that I was switched to second level. I asked for refund as this was not acceptable. Initially, was told I had to still pay for one night for canceling despite them not honoring my reservation, manager recanted when he learned I would be vocal about this incident. No apologies or any effort to make it right, rather blaming me for misunderstanding or being wrong about initial reservation. NEVER WILL RETURN TO THIS MUSKY SMELLING PLACE WHO DOESN'T HONOR CUSTOMERS RESERVATIONS. I certainly would have never signed up for three days as required had I known this is how they operate. The rooms are definitely dated, the fan in the bathroom was failing and loud - it woke everybody up every time someone had to use it at night because it's comes on automatically when you turn on the bathroom light. There were cracks in the caulking around the sink. Was impossible to get the temperature right because buttons on the air conditioner / heater were broken. Pillows were old and hard and lumpy. No full length mirror. Long long line to check in, it went very slowly. New years eve dance was disappointing, a can of beer was $10 (on top of $25 entry price), crowded seating, no champagne nor auld lang syne at midnight, only thing to eat was tub of popcorn for $7.50. On plus side, they did have free ice water available to drink. Women's Bathroom missing toilet paper and several overflowed with water all over the floor, never saw anyone come to mop or clean up.
