This review could’ve been a 5 star but the service was literally the worst I’d ever had.

We stopped into Little Missouri for dinner on a Wednesday evening at 8pm.

They were starting to gear down for the evening so I asked if it was okay to still eat. The waitress affirmed but said we needed to be seated outside, which was okay but not ideal. It was a cool fall evening so again, not great.

We ordered chicken wings and two buffalo burgers. Our food arrived promptly and was quite good; a solid 4/5 on the food. Our Bison burgers were perfectly cooked and flavorful, 5/5 The appetizer was pretty good but a tad overcooked, no biggie.

The interesting thing is this: I was pretty adamant in saying/asking it was no big deal to go elsewhere if they were trying to close, she said no problem.

Our waitress took our order and then never again returned to our table; she never asked about our food, we had to refill our own beverages - it was honestly the most negligent service I’ve ever had. I’ve never been intentionally ignored for the entirety of the dinner. 1/5 for service.

In this day and age, it really takes bad service to get less than 20% from me; I’m usually a 20% to 35% tipper. I couldn’t believe how terrible she was.

The food here was great but I’d make sure to never sit in her section again.

Overall I’d give it a 2/5 considering that...

My husband and I came out to Medora for our anniversary as well to just get away as we own a food truck and are incredibly busy especially May-October months. We have really been looking forward to this trip! Especially to enjoy a good meal at Little Missouri. Every-time we’ve been out here the service has been great and so has the food making our stay memorable. But we cannot say that has been our experience this time. The servers were short and rude. Typically the blonde has been kind and friendly in the past new servers that did their job I didn’t feel bothered I was asked if my meal was good and to be honest the meal wasn’t the greatest either. I couldn't remember where to pay so I asked the blonde server to grab our server if she didn’t mind. Responses like I mentioned were just rude. I’ve been a waitress before and now business owner customer service served with a smile and respect really does go far! I know not everyone will be on point or have good days it just happened to be on a special day for us. Thing is we can look past that. But those are the memories we will think of last time we were there.

This isn’t to complain but more so bring awareness I would want the same for my food truck for myself or any of our employees or our meals. We would give this place another shot we just hope it’s a different...

A cute place to grab a drink and food. We ordered the pulled pork flatbread, walleye sandwich and mushroom swiss burger - all of which were good! There are a lot of flies since the place has open doors and windows so we had to constantly shoo the flies off of the food, which was a bit annoying.

The service set up in the saloon was a bit odd as we walked in and stood around the tables for a while trying to figure out if we can just sit ourselves or do we order at the bar. It looked like there were some people eating at the tables but we didn’t see anyone serving them. The female employee at the bar did not make eye contact or give/sign directions, but we saw people sitting at the bar and getting service, so we just went and sat there.

We were asked what we wanted for a drink and when I asked for a menu I was told there is only a food menu and a full bar. So I just ordered food since it didn’t seem like the bartender lady would talk and come up with a drink that I may like. My husband knew what he wanted and his drink was good. Later on, a second bar tender came back to the bar (after finishing filling the ice at the bar) and he seemed more talkative and engaged with the customers which was good to see. He was also greeting the people who were coming in to see if they wanted to get food or just drinks and where they...

Very busy place with fabulous food and great service. You will wait a little longer than you may be accustomed but it's worth it! Recommend the pesto fry bread appetizer and Chicken Fried Steak.
