Tijuana Flats, 10 E. New Haven Avenue, Suite 103, Melbourne, Florida 32901 4-Stars (Chain Restaurant Rating) Amazingly, prior to this review I had never patronized a Tijuana Flats, although I have been seeing them around Central Florida for the past 20 or 30 years and would sometimes have vague malnoia that I might be missing out on something good. Tijuana Flats falls into an interesting category of not fast food and not sit down. In 1995, Brian Wheeler—at the time, just a taco-loving college student—borrowed some money from his dad to open the first Tijuana Flats in Winter Park, Florida. It has since grown to 123 locations in four states, three of them in the Melbourne area. In addition to their quick casual food, they have a large assortment of fun hot sauces of varying intensities you can sample at the hot sauce bar. Find one you can’t live without? You can purchase one or more bottles to bring home some heat and spice up your life. Jovi is our food facilitator, and she is wonderfully charming and helpful. If you are tired of burgers and want some exciting great tasting food, I’d advise you to try the following: Garlic Lime Shrimp Bowl with well-seasoned sauteed shrimp, cilantro lime rice (cooked correctly), black beans, poblano peppers and onions, corn salsa, garlic lime sauce, guac, queso fresco, cilantro cabbage and pickled red onions. A truly delightful offering. Cheesy Steak Flautas, two lightly fried tortillas with marinated steak, fajita pepper and onions, garlic lime sauce and cheese. Served with queso, pico, guac, sour cream, and jalapeños. A dish that was prepared quickly and tasted great. The Big Boy says, “Craving fast Mexican? Forget Taco Bell, run to Tijuana!”

Sorry about the picture, I was so hungry; and the food looked amazing, so I ate one of the tacos! First place I've gone to eat by myself (epileptic). Amazing staff, great atmosphere, and wonderful food and a variety of great sauces and hot sauces (even though my stomach disagrees with the hot sauce lol). They made sure I was happy with the food I had, delivered food to my table; and made sure not to overstep the boundaries by doing stuff like not touching my food when helping pack it up and stuff (even though i was okay with it, kus i have a dislocated shoulder). The tacos had a lot of blackened chicken on it and tasted great (i kinda tipped the taco when eating so the cheese kinda piled up on top of it), the burrito was HUGE; and I loved the queso! The deals are to die for. That big burrito with a drink and chips? 7$. The two tacos I got? Free. Signed up as a member on their website, and got two for free (the deal took 24 hours to go through though); and get free stuff when I buy from them and enter in the recipt. There's also taco tuesdays, which the tacos are 6$ for the meal (which i noticed a LOT more people coming here for that). I made sure to tip them well, because they went more than beyond to make sure me (and everyone else that was eating) were happy; they even remembered me when I came in 2 days later! I also LOVED the roof panel pictures, they're amazing. PLEASE GIVE YOUR WORKERS A RAISE OR PROMOTE THEM, THEY'RE THE BEST!! I would at suggest to at least give the place a try, I'm more than satisfied going here every couple of days after my physical therapy for my dislocated shoulder!!

Unbelievably small chimichanga for 12 dollars. Bland as well. When they handed me this as a to-go order, I had to check the bag to see if a chimichanga was even in there. It was so light. I’m good with an expensive burrito if it’s gourmet or large; this wasn’t either. Also, sour cream is better at Taco Bell. On a side note, when I asked the staff about the size of the Chimichanga at the to-go pickup area, the person that rang up my order was sitting on the counter. Seriously though…little Debbie zebra cakes are bigger than their chimichanga for 12 bucks?

-1 star if it could just to make a more accurate star rating but this place has gotten horrible. I'm local and eat here all the time but their current staff is just horrible. I gave them the benefit of the doubt earlier but they have screwed up my order 3 times before, this time they didn't pick up the phone, and then after grabbing my food, when I got home to my dismay my chips had beans, lettuce, cheese smeared all over (see picture). It was super disgusting and displeasing. I'm angry I even have to deal with this cause obviously this is my lunch so what the heck am I supposed to do... go find another place to eat, complain? There isn't much choice...so it basically shows me how unclean they are in their kitchen. Even the tacos were flat, were not presentable in anyway...like I mean taco bell quality...this place has gone downhill and the staff I recall from months ago were super nice and got everything down perfect. Beware of this place, even the manager implied to give the staff a bone. Word for word "they aren't going to be the highest quality, you know there are just coming in and out and don't get paid the best so its not gonna always be right on the mark." I was OK with this cause I get it but this repeat service is BS...training is obviously gone the way side. Also if you stick around long enough they have gnats flying around...just check out the sauce counter...this has just gone downhill. Beware of the superficial...looks can...
