I WISH I COULD RATE MY MEAL WITH A NEGATIVE 5. I bought a 4 piece combo for 12.00 and added an extra wing. Combo at Ching's means NO DRINK, PREMATURE WINGS FRIED HARD ENOUGH TO BE USED AS CRACKLING IN CORNBREAD, SOGGY VEGETABLES & a nice roll. The roll tasted better than the wings. Every wing restaurant I've ever gone to has a 5 piece wing combo with a drink. This looks a bit underhanded & greedy from the start. How are you charging 12.00 for a 4 piece with fries & 20.00 for a 10 piece wings only?
This is my first time and my last time here. The only reason I came was because ELLIS SEAFOOD across the street on Getwell is closed on Sun. They have delicious seasoned 5 piece wings, cooked when ordered. I stopped at another restaurant on my way home to get me some wings that were edible.
Ching's management need to go back to the table and come up with better a business strategy. I try to support black owned businesses. How can you even unlock the door to open and this is what you're offering. It's a disgrace. You can't get ahead, getting over on the customer. People work too hard for their money and there's too much competition. I've had wings at a hole in the wall, fried in the dark that put this poor excuse of a combo to shame. When I looked at the wings, I was in my truck. I called back to let them know what had occurred; well, bring it to their attention. They saw the wings before I did. Not once did the lady who answered offer to make it right.
The way to find out what kind of business integrity an owner has, observe their attitude and actions taken with a dissatisfied customer. I was not rude, used no profanity and got no resolve. This is why people become irate and confrontational. ...
Read moreWe made landfall about 6 p.m. and explored around a bit. The natives were very friendly and welcomed us with sunny smiles and warm embraces. They could see we were famished from our long journey across the oceans, and they motioned to us to eat with them, bringing their hands to their mouths and rubbing their tummies with a wide grin. Much enticed, we sat down with them. We were fed a tasty fare of chicken wings and smoked sausages. Evidently chicken and pork are indigenous to the island and may be found in plenty. We filled our bellies and quenched our thirst with a secret elixir that they promised would promote good dreams. The women were kind and indicated with their eyes that we were welcome to rest our bones on the soft shoulders of their booth seating, where we watched strange moving paintings of natives engaged in a game they called basketball. In the morning we set sail again but not without much sadness as we waved farewell and took to the open seas. That's where things went wrong. God help us now as we are stranded on foreign isles. Send chicken wings by floating bottles. We walk these barren shores by day, hoping against all hope that we should one day again taste the pleasure of Ching's. In the year of...
Read moreMy kid is a hot wing aficionado; he lives for hot wings.
When he brought home an honor roll report card, it was his choice on dinner: HOT WINGS.
We ordered a 5 piece whole, HOT and 10 piece party, Honey Gold and an order of fries.
20 minutes later, our order was ready. And I'm really not sure why. There were about 8 people working and only about 5 or 6 orders came out before ours. Having cooked hotwings on team for the better part of a decade, I'm thinking to myself, "the fryer is backed up". Well, it wasn't backed up cooking our wings.
The wings came out over cooked and cold. How ever the hell you do that. The skin wasn't very crunchy and the meat was tough.
Honey Gold sauce is next level baller mode. Hot Sauce is 1 step above Franks with butter. Good, but not memorable. Fries are standard sysco crinkle cut thong song fries with some season salt thrown on them. They were hot, but under cooked in the middle.
Overall it's a good experience. My kid was happy, but unimpressed.
We'll give it another shot, because it was all kids working that evening, maybe...
