Not the fun place it used to be.
We hosted a birthday party on Tuesday, August 9. Arrived at 11 am, stayed until 4:30 pm. While the manger was helpful and accommodations and polite, the woman at the cash register was not. She was rude and dismissive to multiple members of my family, multiple times, to the point that I wanted to be rude back to her. (Thankfully, I wasn't.) I was given the wrong information on pricing, so when she gave me my total, and it was higher than what I was told, I questioned her about it. She rolled her eyes and very rudely told me to look at the price on the menu. Understandable, I guess; I should have just looked, but that was no reason for her to be rude about it.
Another family member informed her that some of the machines were taking money from the playcards without letting anyone actually play anything. She told him "Stop swiping the card then," and walked off. When tokens were still in use, you could recover your lost token from the machine if it didn't work, and if that wasn't possible, they would replace it at the front. With the cards, I guess they just don't care. Why should they? They're not the ones losing money. Her rudeness was more than we wanted to deal with, after spending a ridiculous sum of money here over the course of 5, almost 6, hours. In short, she treated us like she couldn't stand us and wanted us to leave, the entire time. I wish she'd had a name tag on, but unfortunately she didn't.
The mouse never appeared once. Many of the games took money from the playcards but never allowed anyone to play them. A few of the games had malfunctioning/nonfunctional components (e.g., joysticks and triggers), and a couple weren't even turned on (other than the card scanner, of course). The floor was sticky to a level I've never experienced before. They were out of straws, and a couple of the fountain drinks were just water (not including the actual water option).
A disappointing and borderline frustrating experience, all told. There was no one checking kids' wrists, no one even monitoring the doors. Our youngest child almost ran right out of the building (right in front of the rude woman) and no one made any effort...
Read moreIt's been a long time since I've been to Chuck e cheese. I had a great time and the food was good. I don't like how they're doing the play cards. Especially when you have small kids they don't always keep the card going they may play a couple of things go grab a bite or do whatever little kids do and then their card is gone ran out of time now you're asking me for another $20 so my kid can play some more go back to the tokens or have it paused during unused time. I understand that you do have a pause but you're only allowed to use it once which is ridiculous. You also need to make sure the bathrooms are clean those are the most disgusting bathrooms I've ever been in including convenience stores especially for a restaurant that has small kids it should never ever ever look like that. At a toilet paper floors are trash no paper towels it was just a horrible hot mess. Try to do better Chuck e cheese you already took away the robotic Chuck e cheese characters took away the tokens and the tickets the tickets I can understand cuz they can be saved on a card like a player's card. Probably won't be back here either incredible pizzas looking better every day better variety of games and prizes to boot not to mention their food is way better. Sorry to see a childhood memory go to poop thanks for...
Read moreThe pizza is decent, the tables were clean and the staff was friendly although not very energetic for a place catering to children. The manager was out and about making sure the people were taken care of and was very friendly.
The new timed pricing option is great for those trying to wrack up tickets. Those just enjoying time with a little one should probably stick to the original credit system.
There were 2 things that were disappointments. One is that, even though the place was clean, it just looks dingy. The carpet is patched and faded. Several of the games were broken (but still take your credits!) or were out of tickets. Half of the space is reserved for tables and a stage that serves zero purpose, apparently left over from a bygone animatronic era.
The real downer for someone with kids was Chuck himself. We didnt see him! The mouse was scheduled to come out 3 times during our visit and only came out once. When he did appear, he was terrible! I know it's a teen in a fuzzy suit but come on... Get tour most energetic employee who at least knows the pre recorded routine. My kid thought Chucky was sad and needed a hug!
My wife and I were let down by the experience but our kid had fun. With the mini rides and the sounds and getting ticket rewards, she had a great time. And that's...
