Egg King Cafe — Restaurant in Memphis

I visit December 30 Friday I order a omelet with hash brown.first thing the cook has pre cooked hash brown in a container he was rewarming for orders nasty no taste Scorch burned taste .the owner at the register nasty attitude.but everybody in there spending they hard Earned money . He was nice too his other race customers I notice and Memphis police department has he should be too them but if I had on my sheriff badge it would been Pleasant too u don’t know who is who when people walk into your Establishment that mean that you should treat everybody the same.PAY VERY CLOSE ATTENTION TOO THE REVIEWS ABOUT THIS PLACE. I sat in there 55 minutes waiting on a order never got a Apology for the wait but they was very Apologetic too the other race I never said nothing about the peoples came in behind me and got they order and was gone .After getting my order I wished for my $17 dollars back it was nasty it was not worth the wait.O the owner / cashier kept answering me too push the sit back that was at the bar.I never said nothing ugly but his facial Expression was everything he not knowing that I hadnt been too long shad surgery and couldn’t hardly stand but I did what I was asked. Eggsellent!!!🤓 Owner was very friendly and personable as were all the employees. Server was excellent. This is a diner type establishment. Food is homestyle. I had the chicken and waffles, which were very good. The waffles come with wings but can be substituted for tenders instead. The restaurant was quite busy but everyone stayed upbeat. The coffee was deliciously strong and just right. And most importantly, the eggs.... I ordered some just to check since the name is Egg King.... The eggs are cooked on point. I had two scrambled. Fluffy. Obviously I could not eat all of this so a box went home with me. I noticed the three cooks on the grill making all types of eggs to perfection ...sunny side up, over easy , scrambled medium, omelets. No one seemed dissatisfied. Everyone left happy. Mr. Chism is onto a good thing here. Glad I dropped in. I'll be back. Oh and a little secret I found out. They have my fave catfish on Fridays and Sundays, so there's a plus. I hope it's done right. The customer service over a mistake they made of leaving food off my order was horrible. No apology. Just told I could come back and get the toast or $1 refund. I complained of my omelet being cold once I do that. Alisa asked if I wanted it remade then changed and said they couldn’t do that because that’s $9 gone down the drain. Forget about my gas and time and me suffering cold food once I got back home. I asked for the owner. I was told he was gone and she was closing for the day. She said it was his rule. She made it known they are more concerned about $9 than a customer who has patronized them several times. I would have been fine if she would have even offered to reheat on stove when I got back. I told her to keep the $1 and the toast. I will go talk to the owner next week and file a complaint with BBB due to her rudeness and her being nonchalant over a mistake they made.
