If you want a ghetto experience on most of your visits, then this is THE McDonald's for you. I'm not going to talk about how outdated this McDonald's is compared to the others in the area...yes I am.
This is not the retro McDonald's that has the kiosk that you place your orders on or games on the screen/tablets for kids, or outlets to charge your devices or even a playground for your child...it doesn't have a tv anywhere...Basically this is not your hang out McDonald's location.
This location is closer to my house but I prefer the one on Union Ave, across from IHOP and sometimes I will travel the distance for the service that I want but sometimes this location is just convenient and I happen to settle...for...less.
I've dined in at this location because my 3 year old wanted to but I warned him that it didn't have what the other location had. While in this location, a paying customer that is homeless was asked to leave. He wasn't bothering anyone at all.
My experience last night and today however, has me pissed to the highest level because of their encountered. I settled to go to this location in the drive-thru and the person came on the speaker "We aint accepting cards, cash only"....no "Welcome to McDonald's, I do apologize for the inconvenience but we're only accepting cash at the moment. Would you like to proceed with your order". Once she finished her unprofessional sentence, I started my order. "Did you hear me, cash only" Yes, I heard you and I started again with my order but I was just so over it that I left. As I was leaving, I dialed their number to speak with a manager. Someone answers the phone playing...me knowing this can't be a business, I asked where was I calling. The person responded "MY phone" and laughed and I hung up.
I've been calling this McDonald's location since last night and no one has answered since that person played on the phone.
So, am I supposed to go up there next to face more ignorance and my issues with this location...
Read moreI just got home from McDonald's on Poplar and Cleveland. Every single time I go there, I get an attitude, but today was very different. I sat in line for 5 minutes with no answer, so I went to the window where you pay, no answer there either. I went to the window where you pick up the order. The manager said she didn't answer me on purpose because she wasn't making orders right now, and I asked what should I do, and she shut the window on me on purpose. I drove back around where the speaker was and told a gentleman they were taking no orders, but she was taking his and I heard her sat on the intercom that if that guy backs up I will refuse his order to the man at the intercom. I was in shock, and she told all employees not to speak with me. I was very calm, and she was the rudest person I have ever encountered in my 44 years going to fast food service. I'm a disabled combat veteran and didn't understand why she attacked me with words when I have absolutely done nothing to her. Now I know why the employees are rude themselves. There are maybe 2-3 good employees, but the manager will hopefully not turn them as she has done others. Bottom line is the worst McDonald's I have ever been to in my entire life. My friends say the exact things themselves, but we try and give them a chance, but fail every single time, and now we will never go there again, and we all live within 1 mile. I hope the owners will straighten this out someday. I have noticed that business is down tremendously, and there is the answer right in...
Read moreI’m only rating 2 stars bc of the ONE time that I came thru the drive through & had excellent customer service. However, I live around the corner & have gone to this McDonald’s at least 10 times & the last 4 or 5 times it’s either the customer service is horrible (rude & bothered) or the burgers taste awful. I try to write just as many good reviews as I do negative ones but tonight was it for me. It’s 6:15 on Friday night & the drive thru line was packed (which isn’t an issue) after waiting over 20 minutes I notice the cars in front of me at the speaker are all driving off but there were 3 cars in the line at the windows so when it was finally my turn at the speaker I waited 4 minutes then said “hello” several times & tried to be patient. At one point I asked if anyone was there or were the closed for some reason & repeatedly got no response.
It’s beyond frustrating to wait for 30+ minutes just to be ignored & as I’m pulling off I can see people inside working. My main complaint is at least communicate whatever issue it is that’s causing the drive thru employees to not talk to customers that have been waiting. On top of that, like I said earlier, the last few times that I’ve purchased burgers for myself & my son & they’ve tasted watered down & too greasy (even for fast food) now we will only order chicken nuggets from...
