This is a holistic critique.
The cashier shorted my grandfather $1.14 cents and lied to his face about her not having change. I ordered a drink after him at the same register and received my proper change, which was $0.91 cents... She didn't even bother to get back with my grandfather and give him his proper change... He's a veteran... They also didn't have cup tops stocked for the medium sized cups. In fact, they didn't even give you a cup. You had to get it on your own. Idk what the heck they were doing in there, but they were out of sync today. Maybe they'll be better next time. I get that it's fast food, but that doesn't mean be dull. Have some life. This was around 1:45pm btw.
This also isn't a blame game thing either. It's a team fault from in-store cooks and cashier's to upper management outside of the store...
[Firing someone, or treating them like trash because of this is stupid - just be more aware...]
The food was about a 5/10 though: My grandfather didn't complain about that - he never complains. However, I saw for myself that the sandwich was sloppily prepared....
It was also hot as hell by the register. I can understand if there's heat coming from the kitchen, but all of our elders eat there - well a fair amount... They don't need to have a heat stroke in there while waiting. My grandfather was sweating bullets. Maybe implement a PA system, so customers can have the option to sit where there's AC. That's a cheaper first step than having engineers design a heat vacuum.
The only reason I didn't say anything in the store is because I look scary enough and my communication style commands a lot of attention.... Also, there's a better way to handle things in this digital age. We're all human anyway.
Regardless, do better. We know you can.
I also think my mother has had issues with this location before. Idk. Maybe I'm uppity, but at my job I'm pretty thorough and am open to factual criticism based on tangibility.
Emphasis on "based on tangibility." Maybe delegate menial task roles to different people. Call out "straws" and the cook that's the straw-man leaves the cook line to quickly refill straws... Make a napkin person... An ice person (pay him a little extra for using his strength)... Y'know, it just boils down to roles and communication... Try that out... Then watch the inventory and run data analyses on the trends - back it up to a cloud or something. All of...
Read more4/18/25 This has usually been my best McDonald’s, I love the staff, but the manager is terrible! I was trying to refrain from writing a review the first I had an incident with them.
Incident 1: I ordered a #6 well-done, and I usually have to wait on it, which is not a problem because it’s always fresh, but this time it was ready as soon as I pulled up to the window, but it wasn’t a big deal, as I was on my way home I began eating my fries and it had hair in it, so I went back and tried my filet which was not well-done, the girl had no problem remaking my order, but the manger came to me asking me all these questions and was trying to refuse to remake my filet, but I let him know a well-done option is NOT on the app which he kept interjecting before I could explain the reason it wasn’t on the receipt; he was extremely rude. I didn’t rewrite a review because the employee was extremely sweet.
Incident 2: Today,we went through the drive-thru and ordered 4 apple pies, but they weren’t ready so the lady at the window took them off the bill and said they take 15 min to cook, but they already started and she said to pull up and wait for them. After waiting for awhile, my niece went inside and they told her to wait 5 more minutes, then the manager was saying she had to pay for them in a rude assertive manner. Also when he came out, he just stared my mom down, and she wouldn’t have minded paying for them, but he was rude so my mom wasn’t going to pay for it. Which he was definitely rude to me when I really could have escalated the situation when I had hair in my fries.
Once again, the staff is nice, the food is hot and fresh 90% of the time, but the manager or whoever the tall man with a slight bald spot is, is extremely rude. He also went and grabbed the employee to ask her in front of my niece did she say that which is poor management. You NEVER chastise your employees in front of customers or put them in a position like that. I honestly might reach out to corporate because two run-ins means that he’s this way...
Read moreUnbelievable what happened to me in the drive through this morning. I ordered and paid and drove up to pick up window. The employee told me my food wasn’t ready and to drive around to other side of the building. I thought other side of the building?? So I naturally drive to the designated parking which is clearly marked with Drive through parking signs. I park there waiting. The employee brings me my food and angrily says to me, “ I told you to drive to the other side of the building. I almost got hit by a car bringing you this!” I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. It was raining out and dark at approx 6:45 am. I usually never eat at McDonalds except for an occasional breakfast sandwich. So I decided to call the store and asked to speak to the manager. The lady who answered claimed to be the manager. I was angry by at this point and tried to explain what had happened. Her response was we don’t park over there anymore. I couldn't believe that she responded to me like this. I said, how was I supposed to know that when you have parking signs for the drive through. She hung up on me!
Unbelievable!! I will never go to a McDonald’s again. Is this how you are to treat your customers??
I would appreciate these employees having to answer for this most rude behavior! Especially a manager of an establishment!
