PROS : aesthetic and spacious place, servers are friendly and lots of food options.
CONS:1. Drinks are TOO SWEET. Way TOO MUCH ICE on drinks. (Given that putting ice on drinks is the usual “trick” of businesses to make each drink look “full”, you’ll know when TOO much ice, is just too much. On this case, if you won’t be able to finish your drink in 5-10minutes (let’s say you’re talking with someone or simply can’t finish a drink in one sitting, the drink really looses it taste — even if it was too sweet on the first sip. That’s how much ice they put and it makes the drink tastes bland eventually. The cashier (who I believe is one of the owners, or if not, one of the head staff there — lady with long hair who I’ve seen several times eating and talking with the elderly woman who also manages this store) kept rolling eyes to my husband for 3X while placing order. At first, we just ignored it and gave her the “benefit of the doubt” that maybe she’s just tired or whatever, but she did the same on our 2nd, 3rd and 4th visit. Whatever her reasons maybe, I’m sure there’s nothing special or “customized” in our order that should merit that kind of treatment.
*DISCLAIMER: This is our own family’s personal experience and it maybe different or the same as yours. This is our HONEST review. And I hope they do something to improve the drinks and how they make their customers feel AFTER...
Read moreWhether you need a snack or a meal, Nam Cafe has you covered. The pho is great with a tasty base broth, plenty of protein options, and a good assortment of add ins and condiments. A bowl will cost you about $15-$18, but it is well worth it. There is also a decent snack option for lighter fare that can range from $7-$11. The bubble tea doesn't have as many options for tea as some places, but they have many options for toppings to make it the drink you want. You will be looking at $6-$9+ depending on your tea and toppings. I kept it simple with their signature milk tea with tapioca boba and sea salt cloud foam and my wife got the ube milk tea with crystal boba. We both enjoyed it. For the pho, I ordered the special (P1 on the menu—my key board doesn't support the characters for its name unfortunately). It was loaded with a variety of meat, but not so much that it overbalanced the noodles. My wife ordered P6 that was a simple beef meatball, and hers had plenty of meat even without the variety. Most options are beef, but they have chicken and shrimp, too. The ambiance is also pleasantly chill with Asian pop playing on the TV. This restaurant is an excellent addition to the Cordova offerings, so be sure to stop by when you have a chance or go out of your way to visit. You will not be...
