We got there at around noon, there were only 6 other people there. I got the blackened tenders, my husband got the 3 piece spicy fried chicken, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and biscuit. We both had small sprites to drink. My food was ok, not great, but edible. My husband's meal was a whole other story. The mashed potatoes looked like they might have mushrooms in them? The coleslaw looked old, like it was starting to turn brown. The chicken looked dried out and greasy. And to top it all off, we had to wait 30 minutes for our food, even though they had tons of chicken cooked and under the warmers (that did not appear to even be turned on). Most of my husband's food went into the trash. And at that point we noticed they had locked the doors so no one else could come in, which was only at 12:30, and we were the only ones to get food in that amount of time. (This was also after we sat in the drive thru line waiting for about 10-15 minutes and the line never moved.) They also had two cars parked in handicapped spots that had no handicap tags or placards. We usually love Popeyes, but we will not be visiting this particular one again! We both decided that the watered down sprite was the highlight of the meal. Worst Popeyes we have ever been to BY FAR IMO. After reading several reviews (after the fact) I'm realizing this must be the norm for this location. And why is : "Thank you for being a valued customer and for taking the time to share your feedback. We strive to provide the best restaurant experience and are sorry to hear that your visit did not fully meet your expectations. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you better in the future." The only response from the company, but with ZERO effort to make it right???? I am not from Memphis so I am in no way looking for freebies or a hand put, but why not offer these customers a discount, refund, replacement, SOMETHING?? Read moreWe went to order in the drive thru 8 pieces family meal 50/50, 4 biscuits, and large fries on 7/14/2019. As soon as we got our order, I drove home without checking my order. When we arrived home, my son opened the box and we only got 4 pieces of chicken, 4 biscuits, and medium fries. I told my son don't touch anything. I called the store to let them know that my order was wrong and I spoke to make associate and he told me to talked to manager. The manager didn't spoke to me on the phone but I could overheard her voice that I will bring the order back. The Male associate repeated that I have to bring the order back. So, I went back with foods my receipt. When I arrived at the store the manager took the food, receipt, and my credit card. I realize she will going to refund my order so I called her attention and said, "Maam excuse me, just replace my order!" She was pretty rude about it and she told me that she was there when they packed my foods and said that there were 8 pieces of chicken in the box. The tone of her voice implied that I was lying to her. I got insulted and she was yelling at me about what you want? Picking up the boxes of chicken like a brat baby (pardon my language). I raised my voice too. Got my card back and refund receipt and walked out the door. She followed me outside and trying start altercations about she was trying to give me more chicken to my order and I'm not understanding her. Okey, I admit I thrown away all my professionalism in the air. First of all, as manager you didn't apologize to me that my order wasn't right. Second, why you don't admit your fault. Read moreI absolutely hate this location. The staff is very rude, it's always chaotic no matter the time. Every time I try to patronize this location after 7:00 and keep in mind they close at 10 pm , they always come up with some excuse not to work , here are the classic responses " we're only accepting exact change only" , " we only have Fanta strawberry everything else is out" " we're only accepting cash our credit card machine is down" " we don't have enough chicken for a 16 piece" and the list goes on. The cashier who came on the speaker was ghetto and very rude. My husband asked her why is the responses always the same and how is it at 7:00 pm nothing is never working ? She responded by saying it's a corporate thing and what are we suppose to do about it sir ?. This foolishness has been going on for years, I complained to corporate July 1st and here it is July 12th and still the same mess. I am gonna make it my duty to complain to the appropriate party so that this foolishness will stop . This location needs a whole new older more professional staff. I also noticed when we pass the speaker to drive off the workers were sitting in the lobby doing nothing and on another occasion I have noticed some workers sitting in the patio area like they didn't have a whole line of cars waiting to be served.
