My husband and I went to The Terrace for our date night this past Saturday night around 7pm, our first time there. My husband picked it from all the amazingly great reviews online and because we love that area of downtown,, to have dinner and see the river at sunset,, stunning! Upon walking in we were told by a waitress to sit wherever we would like. The only table available at the moment was a bar height table very close to the bar. I'm short so not my kind of table. We sat there for about 15 minutes without any service whatsoever, not even spoke to by the staff. By that point in time a table at the windows opened up. It had not been cleared yet but my husband told the same waitress we were going to move there if that was okay and we would just wait on someone to clean it off. She said that would be fine. We sat there for over 20 minutes without anyone coming over to us at all!! The check payment from the previous couple was even still sitting there on the table. We were never acknowledged by any of the staff at any point in time at either table. There were plenty of staff on hand. This is not a big restaurant, so there was literally no excuse for us not being brought menus, water and offered something else to drink. I have no idea what the problem was, we were dressed appropriately, we were not being loud or obnoxious, we hadn't done anything at all to be treated like that. Actually we've never been treated like that in ANY restaurant. We frequently eat at Tugs and had just eaten at Paulette's the weekend before for our date night. For those who don't know both of those restaurants are located just below The Terrace. The experiences there are nothing short of amazing! We will never go to The Terrace again. I believe in second chances but not after being treated so blatantly like I didn't exist. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone...
Read moreThe setting and the view is awesome (hence the 2 stars). However, everything else is less than perfect. Drink example: I ordered a bourbon with 1 small ice cube (not a large ice cube and not many small ice cubes)…what I received: a bourbon pour in a glass full of ice. After going through the effort of specifically asking what I wanted to drink, this service does not show attention to detail that is expected when you pay $12 or $14 a pour. Food example: we ordered a charcuterie plate…what we received: a plate with 2 small 1/2 sausages (I mean like a mini-bratwurst like sausages split in 2) and 2 pieces of OK cheeses. Technically, it is a charcuterie plate. However, like in most people’s minds’ eye, we expected a variation of cured meats (eg: Genoa salami, finocchiona, prosciutto, calabrese salami, even pepperoni, etc…) This place has the potential to be awesome all around and I do not wish to close, but I wish it would to be more attentive to it’s clientele’s requests and serve what is advertised (make sure that the menu matches what shows up on the table, and cheap substitutes will not do at...

My husband had emergency surgery , on March 20 and I called to cancel the reservation on March 21 and was informed by a female that it would be taken care of and there would not be a fee. Looked at my credit card and was charged 318.00 for a no show cancelation fee. When I called to follow up as to why I was charged a male answered and was very rude. I explained to him the situation and he informed me that it was nothing he was going to do about it, Dispute the charge with my bank, He lied and told that there was no one working there that was a female. I called back the next day only to find out that the General Manager was a female. I spoke to her she asked about a cancelation number I informed her the situation AGAIN!!!!! She stated that there was nothing they were going to do about it unless there was...
