TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED* We were a party of 5 celebrating 2 birthdays, ... Drinks and appetizers were ok. One young lady with Blonde natural hair (that was not our server) was really good and as we saw her preparing to end her shift we caught her going out the door and gave a cash tip. The bartender was a whole vibe. We patiently waited and had conversation fellowship as we realized it had been quite a Time and start looking around I'll waitress passed through and stated she was going to check on our food. Approximately 20 minutes had passed and we still had not received any food this was after already waiting an hour. Just as we had decided to cancel our orders our food appeared barely warm as if it had been sitting for a while. I am and have never been one to return or complain about food at restaurants because I honestly feel that it is embarrassing; however this food was almost not edible. I had the Cajun pasta I love Al dente pasta however this pasta was right under crunchy it had the texture of being just blanched and hot water not cooked, there was no seasoning no evidence of a Cajun sauce just dry. One of the other guests had the honey glazed salmon I love Salmon and know what Salmon is supposed to look like served this Salmon was so dry and overcooked that the guest picked it with her for it did not crumble it did not make an indentation it was just that hard. We all were a little overwhelmed and surprised at the food presentation that we set for a minute trying to determine what to do. We then ask for the manager they began to scramble and a little bit later a gentleman came to the table in a gray apron with the appearance to have been the Cook or someone from the kitchen we explained our issue regarding the food and he stated did we want him to warm the food due to us stating it was not warm it was cold. He stated let me see what I can do. Mind you everyone's food was untouched with the exception of maybe one bite and sitting just as prepared on the table. The lady identified as I waitress then returned and stated the most she could do is give us a 25% discount. We said that was unacceptable and requested additional management where she then stated there is only the owner asked for the owner she was not able to get out that information went and retrieved business cards for each of us and a piece of paper where she rode an email address stating that the email will be forwarded to the owner. Not wanting a lot of confusion we paid the bill and left. This was a double Birthday Celebration The Blue Room totally disappointed and...
Read more5 stars to the food, our waitress, Tiffany, & 1 star for the atmosphere because Tonya was complicated & disrespectful! My daughter made reservations for a party of 6 at 2pm this Sunday, December 17th. Tonya went back and forth with me stating she did not have us on the list. Even after showing her the confirmed reservations, she continued to dispute me stating, even if I could work yall in, it's probably best that yall go somewhere else because you're going to upset my employees & they're not going to want to serve you! Instead of her apologizing for the glitch with the computer & attempting to accommodate us, she was very argumentative, reluctant to admit she was wrong, & thanked my daughter while stating in my face.... "Old people can be difficult sometimes!" She showed favored towards my daughter because she's young, quiet, & did not have a rebuttal about the mishap! Tonya did not like that, which revealed her true character. She went on & on showing me a list of people whomever she stated made reservations before 7am this morning! I responded, "So are you saying, reservations has to be made before 7am in order to make same day reservations?" She weren't making logical sense, got upset with me for challenging her logic, & turned to my daughter, asking her if she understood because I didn't seem to understand. Tonya appears to be around my age & handled the entire ordeal very immaturely. By this time, someone name Tiffany walked up, which appeared, with a iPad or tablet, stating, "I see their reservations!" To sum it up, Tiffany is the reason why we stayed! Tonya has very poor interpersonal skills & will be a hinder if she doesn't learn how to be optimistic & willing to grow! She seems to be vindictive and only kind when things are going her way! I feel she abused her power because I received my food last after my entire family was finished eating! If she didn't play a role in that, it definitely didn't look good & I couldn't think of any other rationale as to why I didn't receive my food when my party did! None if us got our watermelon salad that was supposed to come with the chicken & waffle! After Tonya guards were up, we didn't feel comfortable asking about the salad so we...
Read moreMy husband, daughter, and I have ate at the Blue Room restaurant numerous of times. We’ve been going since their soft opening. The food has always been delicious. Customer service is always on point and the wait time is never too long. The atmosphere is always mellowed. But today the food was absolutely disgusting and it took awhile for us to get our food. Our first thought was to send the food back but we didn’t, which was our mistake. My husband ordered the buttermilk pancakes, bacon, eggs, and breakfast potatoes. I tried something different; the New Orleans omelette. Never again! My husband pancakes were dry and didn’t have a taste to them. His eggs were not light and fluffy, they were extremely dry. The breakfast potatoes were greasy. I’ve seen pictures of their omelette but mine looked nothing like the picture. It was an overcooked, dry omelette without the cajun cream sauce. We did make a complaint about the food to the floor manager before checking out. She listened, apologized, and knocked off 10%, which was about $5.00 or $6.00. We left highly disappointed and shocked because we were loyal customers. We don’t mind paying for delicious food, but I would’ve thought since we’ve been there so many times, the manager would have at least did more than just knock off a small amount. Later on, I did some reflecting and came to the conclusion that you will eventually find out how much a business truly appreciates your support. Oh, another issue is their menu is not up-to-date. They have a vegan meal on their brunch menu that is no longer available. Our daughter who is vegan was with us. That was another disappointment! We told our daughter we could leave and go elsewhere but she decided to stay and get something afterwards. If you’re no longer serving vegan dishes or the Avocado toast, please correct the online and in-house menus. My meal cost $18.00, husband’s meal was over $30.00, plus his...
