I would totally give this place a 5 star if it were about the wait staff. The wait staff was super friendly. When they brought out food for my stall it was the wrong order and but she had the right receipt. She was so polite though and was like im so sorry I'll be right back with your order. We waited another 30 mins for our order. And honestly they were busy so we understood. Again or sweet waiter brought out our food and said sorry for the wait heres some free ice cream cone coupons. Now at first I thought wow we spent $35.17 and you give is $2 worth of coupons that's okay I guess, but when we got home I noticed I was missing half my order. So I called the phone number on the receipt and explained what happened. The sweet heart that answered my call said she would connect me to the manager. It all went down hill from there. So told me a refund order number and said next time I come back to sonic to tell them the number and my order would be replaced. When I arrived back and pushed the button a nice young gentleman answered and said yes mam no problem will be right out with your order...i literally waited 30 more minutes and watched in the window as the whole inside of the store was in total chaos. Orders were piling up multiple people were getting wrong orders not just me and I watched the manager for 30 mins stare at me and roll her eyes. I have never been so sad for the people working under that in my life. Im a manager and to know that my team is failing and im not doing anything to help would be excruciating. There was no guidance, no leadership, and especially no organization. The poor kids were runing around trying to find some order too it. When I got home the second time my order was still wrong but after an hour waiting for it I just didn't care and didn't want to put the employees in more hardship. Read moreEverything- I filled a survey already but there were updates and I don’t think I will get a response online. I waited in total almost 45 minutes from mobile order at the patio area till receiving my food and milkshake. I believe the order was made and just sat there getting cold and the shake melting. I flagged down a runner around minute 15 and asked him kindly to take a look at my order. He did and the back staff was looking for it. 10 minutes later after seeing all these other orders go through I clicked the red light. No response for another 10 minutes. Another guy comes out and asks me to confirm my order and then they look for it in the back. He comes out again a couple of minutes later and says “we have to redo your shake” and hands me two coupons (one cone and one bogo hotdog). I wait and another lady comes out 5 minutes later with my order and apologizes. I go to my car and the burger is cold- they didn’t bother to remake it after I sat there for over half an hour. I think to myself the shake might be better- it wasn’t stirred properly and all the syrup was at the bottom. I think surely at least the coupons will make up for it. They didn’t because one of the coupons EXPIRED 3 YEARS AGO. So I really only got a coupon for a free cone, cold food, and terrible service. I’m probably done with ordering Sonic here (the location on Houston levee is better but closes earlier). I can’t tell if it’s the app, the workers, or both that made the experience bad. It’s not the first time I’ve had to flag down people for my food with a mobile order so really it’s not worth the trouble. Read moreThis location is closest to me so I do go here often. Unfortunately as of late the service has slipped and needs to be addressed. I have started using the app to order because it seems too difficult to place an order for a family of 4. Tonight I preordered and 2 of the 4 burgers were wrong and tasted old. The fries were cold and the shakes we ordered tasted ok but were half melted. I'm not sure what's going on here but I really hope they can turn this around.
Came back again today. Placed my order on the app because it's just easier. Order should have been ready at 905. Order was cleared from their screen and my app at 905 but I'm still sitting here at 913 without any of my order! WTF! How difficult is it to make 4 Chocolate Milk shakes!!!! It was 920 before the order was actually brought to me. I do want to say that service at this location is awesome in the morning even when short staffed they are working hard to take care of their customers, but the evening crew just seems to not really get it. They are apparently not working as team because it shows every single time I fo to this location after 4pm. I get they are busy but they are also better staffed in the evening that at 7 am.
