I wish I could give this place a negative star. Today when I came in to eat I was very poorly greeted by the lady at the desk. We walked in and right away were treated awful. After we sat down our waitress was extremely rude and when we walked up to the buffet to get our food everything was cold. When we tried to tell our waitress, who I assume didn't speak or understand English, just smiled then walked away. While I was eating my cold food I found a piece of paper in my rice and then AGAIN had a piece of PLASTIC in my mouth that was in my chicken and broccoli. When the woman from the front desk came over to our table to finally address the cold food she very rudely asked if we wanted her to put our food in the microwave.. We declined. When we finally asked for the check I made the appropriate decision to not leave our waitress a tip. I paid with a debit card. We were walking towards the door when she VERY RUDELY and aggressively asked for a signature and after she realized I didn't tip her for the horrible service she and her employeer provided I heard something in a different language loudly and again aggressively say something I can only assume wasn't very good. I am appalled by how these people handled these very common customer service issues that happen in the restaurant business. Please do not eat at a restaurant that doesn't treat you at all like a customer and more like a dollar sign. They didn't care if we were taken care of the right way. They only cared about how much money we were going to leave them. NEVER AGAIN WILL I EAT HERE. Maybe I would have thought about coming back until I was cursed out in another language by staff. I am disgusted by this place and like I said before I wouldn't even give them ONE STAR but I needed to share this...
Read moreWe've been here many times, and always feel like we got good food at a fair price. The selection is good,in my opinion. They have a coconut chicken(no coconut shreds),a General tsaos chk, a brocc chkn, sweet/sour chkn, chicken wings, and chickn tempura. They have beef and brocc, Mongolian beef, pork and mushrooms, fried rice, a chinese noodle dish, veggie stir fry and hot and spicy beef. They have deep fried salt and pepper shrimp, and frog legs,(great)both with a very light coating, not battered or breaded. Also salmon which is braised(just ok), crawdads, and mussels in the shells in a garlic sauce, as well as some with a cheese/breading in the shell. Stuffed mushroom caps, cheese sticks, fish sticks and pizza. A great baked spinach/cheese dish, an octopus salad,as well as a salad bar. The sushi is well presented, with beautiful sauce drizzles, and a stir fry bar that you can pick out your ingredients and have the attending chef stir fry up for you. Fridays they have more of the seafood selections, including calamari.(no crab legs)there are alot more hot/cold sides/salads that I didn't name, as well as a dessert table with tiramisu and other sweets. They do have a soft serve ice cream bar, but it tasted more like ice milk, but that was ok, since I need something lighter after stuffing myself with everything else :). All in all, it was all well made, hot, clean and the service was prompt. They keep those steam tables cooking so well that at times the floor toward the rear of the food area gets a little slippery from the steam, so be careful. It was about $13 for friday night buffet. Any drinks...
Read moreThe atmosphere at Asian Buffet & Grill is exactly what you'd expect from a typical Chinese buffet. Standard decor, nothing special. However, the overall experience left a lot to be desired.
First red flag: paper plates, plastic silverware, and Styrofoam cups? It felt more like a backyard picnic than a restaurant. For the price of a buffet, actual dinnerware should be a minimum expectation.
The food itself was... fine. Average at best. Nothing stood out, but nothing was outright inedible either—unless you count the desserts. The chocolate pudding was sour like it had gone bad, and everything else was clearly store-bought. Some desserts were still in their original plastic container; zero effort to even make it look presentable.
There were a surprising number of “peanut butter” themed items, and unfortunately, every single one was bad. The so-called spicy dishes? Completely mild. Not a hint of heat.
The sushi station was a disappointment too. Almost empty and what remained looked like it had been sitting untouched for hours. Not exactly appetizing.
Service was lackluster. We ran out of drinks about 10-15 minutes in and weren’t offered a refill until we were already on our way out. Staff barely checked in at all.
Overall, Asian Buffet & Grill was a letdown. It might fill you up, but you won’t be impressed. Definitely not...
