Wow! We arenāt even really sure where to start with our experience at Smoked, so Iāll start at the beginning! My husband and I were dreaming of having a food truck cater our barn-style wedding in late October. We loved the feel and style of a food truck, and find that some of the best food comes out of these restaurants on wheels. We knew we wanted to majorly please our guests and WOW did we not disappoint with Smoked. Our experience from start to finish was nothing short of stellar. We contacted Amy and Jonas via email for our first contact - and their correspondence was speedy and concise. The next day we ventured out to their location and we were delighted to find that they recalled our names from our email! Major bonus points. As we chit chatted before we ordered with Jonas, we were so impressed with his professionalism. Not only did he take the time to talk with us, he also greeted each one of his customers - and you could tell he remembered each and every one of them. Then, when we ordered, the couple made sure we tried the things that we would be serving at our wedding, based on how we had described the event. When I tell you we didnāt even make it home before we busted open the containers of food, Iām not joking. The smell of our delicious food permeated thru my car and it was torture to drive the few minutes home, so we just had to take a few bites. We shared our meal with my parents and we all agreed it was the BEST BBQ weāve ever had. Hands down. When it came to our wedding day, Smoked at 225 arrived on site on time, and made sure to touch base with us to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible. We had provided gold disposable silverware for our wedding, and Amy and Jonas took the time ON-SITE, and unprompted, to individually wrap our cutlery in napkins, with napkin wraps. This touch elevated our dinner so much that people asked me if they needed to save the silverware! No one asked them to do this and we were so impressive by such a gesture. Every single attendee of our wedding stopped and told us how good our food was. Every single person was more than pleased with their meal, and it was a talking point the entire evening! One of the best parts about having Smoked cater our event is that we can go enjoy our wedding meal whenever we want by visiting their location again and again! Ā Ā Ā Read moreStay with me, it gets good! The shop popped up on a random āBBQ near me searchā about two weeks ago. Kept them in mind and looked them up again this week. Saw that they were opened on Saturdays and decided to drive by in my way to the store and they were opened (Wednesdays and Saturdays 11-7). Proceeded to the store and upon walking out, you could smell the smoker from there!
Upon pulling up and walking in, you are welcomed by the smell of smoked meats but not too over bearing, just right. The place is clean and well organized and I was greeted by the owner with a friendly smile. After a little conversation, I decided to go with āthe deuceā (2 meats and sides). I chose the tri-tip and pulled pork, greens and potato salad. Also the banana pudding!
None of this disappointed in any way. stud Tri-tip was smokey and moist, the pulled pork just right, very little sauce needed. I tried some out of curiosity and was pleasantly surprised how well it complimented the meat. The sides were fresh and seasoned quite well. Lastly, the banana pudding was delicious. Nothing about this meal disappointed.
If you like brisket, go with the tri-tip! Easy transition and it is the best of both worlds for brisket (mostly lean with some marbling).

The other reviews for this place arenāt lying. Growing up with Kansas City barbecue, my expectations for this type of cuisine are very high. Thankfully, Smoked Two-Twenty-Five does not disappoint. The meat they barbecue is hands down the best Iāve had at any restaurant in Wisconsin - and itās not even close. We tried the tri-tip beef, ribs, and pulled pork. All of them were cooked perfectly. Just the right amount of smokiness, and tender as can be. Itās so good itās equally enjoyable without adding any barbecue sauce whatsoever. The bbq sauce was also solid - definitely had a Carolina flare to it which makes sense given thatās where the owner is from.
The owners, Jonas and Amy, were very involved with the business and made it a point to greet and talk to everyone walking through the door. It was apparent Jonas cares about every customer leaving happy as well as getting honest feedback about his food.
I canāt recommend this place enough. Itās a small business, owned by a veteran, with food good enough to compete with the best of the best in the regions of the country that specialize in barbecue. You wonāt leave this place...
