Chinatown Kitchen — Restaurant in Menomonee Falls

Pros- The food was ready on time and the woman who waited on me was very polite. The website was easy to navigate and to order from.

Cons:

$1.00 “convenience” fee was charged for ordering on their website.

Paid $6.95 for the lunch special which was advertised as an entree served with white or pork-stir fried rice. The entree was about 1cup worth of food and the rice was about 2/3 a of a cup. In other words; the size of a happy meal but 2-3 times the price.

The taste of the food is difficult to describe. We’ve had bad Chinese before and eat our fill then tossed the rest. Chinatown Kitchen was so bad we had 2-3 bites of each entree and then threw it all out.

Even the rice had a terrible flavor and mouth feel. How does one ruin rice?

The General’s Chicken was chewy, tough dark meat, flavorless & dry with a gummy coating.

The sweet & Sour Chicken was breaded like a corn dog, thick and bread-like. The chewy, tough & dry chicken was used for this as well.

Mop Shu was some white meat chicken and vegetables, no discernible sauce or flavor.

And last the greasy and gross pork fried rice. We found a total of 4, 1/4” sq bits of pork (an average of 1.33333 per entree combo. There was nothing else in the fried rice. In truth it was greedy & yellow in color rice.

The restaurant may have changed owners, I cannot explain. All the rave reviews otherwise. This was some of the worst food I’ve ever eaten and I was a submariner in the Navy. I...

1st time we ate there it was fantastic. Their 11 y.o. daughter has great customer service skills. 2nd time we at there they forgot part of our order and asked us to come back. We drove back cross-town from Appleton and Lilly. 3rd time they told us 25 minutes, we arrived 35 minutes later and they told us they had not made the food and it would take 20 mins. more to prepare. We waited in our car for 25 mins and their apology was 2 almond cookies. 4th time we ordered they told us 25 minutes, we arrived 40 mins. later and the food was not prepared. The lady casually told us to wait 25 more mins in the car. I walked out and told them I will buy dinner somewhere else. WE WILL NEVER RETURN. Our money is better spent somewhere else! It's a shame too because their food is quiet good. Poor time management skills and poor customer complaint resolution...

I was a very excited to order from this place especially after reading some of the reviews. My excitement was short lived. I placed a order a little before 7 and was told it was going to be 45 mins. It was little more then an hour later and they still didn't arrive. Normally I'm a patient person but I had two hangry kids so I decided to give them a call. They told me the driver was on his way before they even asked which address or order was mine. 20 mins later and still nothing at this point. I called again and they told me another 20 mins. At this point my children and I just couldn't wait. I tried to call and cancel my order but nobody answered. They finally showed up about 10 mins to 9, just a few mins shy of 2 hour wait. Smh..I mostly likely will never order...
