Usually love this place and order from them often for events and parties but just recently I put in an order to pick up so it would be ready when I arrived. When I did get there I was told it would be 7 minutes for one of the cookies I ordered and they didn’t ask if o wanted to change to a different option or offer any apology or remedy to the situation. There was also a man there picking up a door dash who was informed he had to wait as well and after 15 minutes they gave me the box and I left. I only live 3 minutes away from this location and I went straight home and opened the box and realized the strawberry cupcake cookie I had waited that 15 minutes for was totally ruined. I guess they didn’t cool it before frosting because it frosting totally melted onto the cookie next to it and the actual cookie itself was not fully baked and raw in the middle. One of the two employees there at the time was up front by the register talking to what seemed to be her friend who was sitting on the counter on her phone the whole time and was not waiting for an order so she was just there to hangout I guess? I wouldn’t mind that if they hadn’t made me wait so long for a cookie that was not even edible and overpriced to begin with. This definitely seemed to be more of an issue with a couple of their employees which I’m sure is bound to happen for any company. Every time I go there my cookies are made to either taste or look differently than the last time. It’s usually not a major difference but some are much better than others. I wish they could find a way to make the cookies look and taste the same way no matter how many times you buy them but until then, it’s hit or miss. I do think it’s worth trying the cookies still so you can form your own opinion about...
Read moreCrumbl Cookies Birthday Cake (Patriotic): I’ve seen Crumbl all over social media and until my first visit in August of 2022 I did not understand the hype (I'm humble enough to admit I can be wrong). Crumbl rotates their flavors on a weekly basis and depending on the flavor some are absolutely amazing. Crumbl's official description for today's cookie is "a cake batter cookie topped with smooth cake batter frosting and patriotic sprinkles." Like most of the other cookies I've had it's thinner at the periphery, but towards the center it's dense, thick, and chewy. The cake batter flavor of the cookie is kind of a gimmick in my opinion. It's simply a sugar cookie. The cake batter frosting (which is the best part) lives up to the cake batter name better than the body of the cookie, but still isn't a bullseye. No surprise, the frosting is creamy and sweet with hints of vanilla and cream cheese. Topping it all off is an armada of red, white, and blue non-pareils. The non-pareils add a nicely contrasting crunch along with the aesthetic appeal. In closing, I wish the cake batter flavor would have been more prevalent, but it's still a delicious gourmet cookie thanks to the texture of the cookie and bountiful frosting. Doughboy approved, making them 5/5 of on the flavors I've tried. *This flavor is released multiple times a year for various holidays with only the color of the non-pareils changing My Crumbl Cookie Rankings: Caramel Popcorn Blue Monster Birthday Cake (Patriotic) Banana Bread Peanut Butter...
Read moreMy wife asked me to pick up these cookies, at first I was very hesitant. As the price tag for just 6 cookies just over 20 bucks was a bit alarming. Regardless I did what most married men would do and bought them anyways. Happy wife happy life am I right?
Fast forward about 3 miles down the road after I set the cookies on the dash. It's -3 out so the defrost is blasting on high. Almost instantly my entire vehicle smelled like the inside of cake factory. Needless to say I couldn't resist myself, and I decided to pop that box open while going down the interstate.
Now this is where I must state that you need 2 hands for these behemoth sized cookies. So I was doing what most men do and use my left knee to steer the vehicle. Well I was so distracted by this cookie that when we hit a big bump in the road I could not react appropriately. The car rolled about 3 to 4 times into the ditch landing on the oncoming side of the freeway.
Contrary to the name crumbl these cookies never broke apart. I finished the cookie I had, shoveled in 2 more while waiting for the police and a tow truck to arrive. Ended up sharing 1 with each of the 2 officers and 1 with the tow truck driver.
$25 for 6 cookies with tip. $250 for inattentive driving ticket $500 insurance deductible My wife not talking to me because she had to pick me up from the tow lot and there was not a single cookie left.
Priceless.
I will be getting more tomorrow for my wife. I will respond with how...
