Longo's Pizza — Restaurant in Mentor

I called to verify they delivered to my address before discussing our order with my family. When the lady on the phone said they deliver to my neighborhood we asked if we could make an online order to which we were told yes. So we figured out what we wanted to eat and placed the order. I recieved an order confirmation and the money was deducted from my account. An hour went by and I called to check on the order. I was then told my order never came through and that they can retake my order or refund me. No discount offered, no attempt to even speed the delivery up, no apology given just a rude person on the other line. When I asked for the refund I was hung up on. I called back to verify that they had my card number to refund(still never verified) and spoke to another manager. I was finally asked about my order and the total so they can call their credit card processor to get the refund issues. Completely ridiculous customer service. Stinks because I love the food and we normally dine in. However we decided to get food delivered for the first time. Well Ill never step foot in this place again after the way I was treated for their mistake. Once I said I would be leaving my review on Google she said fabulous and hung up.

Even now 5 days after my initial review I have not been refunded. So as it stands I paid $60 for food I never received.

Edit number 2:

I called last night 7-12 to follow up on the refund and was yelled at by the manager. They insured me the refund was processed and argued with me and informed me that it takes 5-6 business for a refund to be processed which is very reasonable. I told them no one ever called or confirmed any refund was processed. She continues to yell at me saying its been processed and they tried to call(they did not do either infact) However this morning I get an email that the refund was just NOW processed and my 5-6 days starts today. After all that arguing with me they were wrong and had not done what they said they did. So it took them roughly a week to even submit the refund through their system. In that time they felt the need to argue with me on several occasions. I was told they tried to call me back(which didnt happen) and when I said I would come show them my call log they told me if I came into the location the police would be called? Why because me showing my call log to proove they never called is illegal? What an absolute circus they are running. All I wanted was to order some food for my kids and it turned into this. Just wow. Really hope they can work through the issues they are having as this used to be such a great business. However they have lost this repeat...

FEBRUARY 2025: I hadn't had pizza in a few months and wanted to try something delicious, but not Pizza Hut, Domino's, Papa Johns, Marco's, or any other large chain pizzeria. Longos had a deal with a large 1 topping pizza (13" diameter) + 6 chicken strips for $20 total. I got the pepperoni and sausage pizza with chicken strips for about $22.

PROS: Relatively speedy service. I placed my order and got in approximately 20 minutes. Food was tasty. The hand tossed crust was flavorful as well as the zesty sauce. The chicken strips were crispy and paired well with the bang bang sauce (which tasted like a ketchup, mild hotsauce, and mayonnaise mixture). Although I got takeout, there appeared to be ample seating inside. Ample parking outside There is a website that people can place orders through.

CONS: The pizza was oily, but it was devilshly good.

SUMMARY: I will be back whenever I get a pizza...

Paid my first visit tonight. Pizza, fried pickles, and the salad my friends had was excellent. What I found even more excellent is that you pay your employees well enough that they can afford to be rude, snotty and almost disrespectful to your guests, and our server this evening was every bit those things. She brought the male of our party a drink refill when he still had half a glass. My friend, and I didn't get refills until our drinks were backwash, and only when my friend requested a refill of her iced tea. The pizza was pretty much thrown onto our table like a frisbee. Those things I can overlook, and I can understand a server being busy;however, this server was simply just rude, and snotty.
