Tommy Boys — Restaurant in Mentor

Started off a little worried as it seemed short staff one server handling the bar and the dining area. The music was very loud and there was a youth football team asking for money I told them no thank you and they said “you can’t spare a couple dollars ” I told them I didn’t have cash and he said “damn whatever you ain’t got cash app”. People are trying to enjoy their food not be getting asked by teenagers for money. (3 stars for atmosphere)

Now comes to the food…… Food came out not what I ordered and asked to send it back. Owner came by and apologized as they have a new cook. The food came back and was really good. Wish you didn’t have to pay extra for a side as this should come with your sandwich. Had the pretzel for an appetizer was very good. (4 star for food)

During our meal the owner apologized again comped our meal as he said “we are striving for perfection and we were short of perfection today”. We went for Thursday night wings at 60 cents. Wings were good, side salad was delicious. Also ordered a side of fries and they were very good. It didn't seem too busy at the time we were there but the service was so so. Wing flavors were the standard that most places offered. The garlic parm were tasty but the asian cajun seemed to be the same as the teriyaki. All 3 could have been cooked a little longer for our taste. 1st time there as Tommy Boys and actually was about the same as it was as Stadium Grill except the booths were gone. Tables everywhere. Walked in and immediately noticed it seemed very loud. No music just loud but it’s a bar so I can overlook that. Had my family there, and I understand it’s a bar but we had tons of issues. They checked on us once. Our food was wrong. The pizza was almost all crust. It was missing ingredients. Both my kids burgers were wrong. Completely missed an item and they overcharged us.

They seemed to tend bar very quickly but to have over an hour for food and that service with no “apologies for the wait” or the missing items was tough...
